"So I heard something about a rogue demon," some came through a purple portal hidden in the trees up to the small group Ranboo had got together, he wore a green tunic and black pants. The tunic had burn marks and holes. "And I'm here to help."
"This is Sam," Ranboo said to Phil, Tubbo, and Wilbur, "he's the best tracker I know, and can provide quick transport to the Northern Palace."
"You're a warlock," Phil asked.
"Yes and no, I also know spells like wizards do," Sam said, he then looked at Wilbur. "You used to be a ghost! Incredible, but your body is fully solid. How?"
"A wizard friend of a friend I guess," Wilbur didn't know how it worked or how Sam had known. "You'll have to ask him."
"The demon we're looking for is a dangerous telepathic, he's proven to be smart as well," Ranboo saw as the others looked away, he knew these were Tommy's family, but Tommy needed to be captured.
"Telepathy, a rare power," Sam thought for a second. "What's the worst thing he's done?"
"Made us relive our worst memories," Tubbo brushed his hand on his neck. "It felt so real and was much worse than when it happened. It made my injuries from the original moment reform."
"That does sound bad," Sam rubbed his chin in thought. "Do you have any silver on hand? No, didn't think so. Well the only other thing I can think of is a potion that nullifies our minds to prevent him from reading it."
"Sounds complicated," Phil said, folding his arms, "we might want a backup plan."
"Unless you know someone who is immune to mind reading there is no backup plan," Sam said.
"Oh my gosh! We do!" Tubbo exclaimed, "Sapnap wasn't affected when Tommy was messing with our minds, and even before he, you know, he couldn't read his mind."
"What creature is he," Sam asked.
"He's a demigod," Phil said, "but we'll have to see if he's not busy with the council and Countess Drista."
"I guess we're going to have to get used to that title," Tubbo still couldn't believe that just a few days ago they were still addressing her as 'Lady Drista'.
"There's a new Countess," Sam said, "I've been out of the loop, Ranboo you've got to tell me these things."
"It all happened so fast, I didn't have time," Ranboo said, "but we should probably get started on the potion, I'll let the Countess know."
"I'll look for Techno," Wilbur said to Phil and Tubbo, "I have a bad feeling about him running off."
"That's a good idea, we know how Techno can be at times," Phil said and Wilbur faded into the air, running off to find Technoblade.
"Do you really think he's not the same Tommy we knew," Tubbo asked, "cause something just keeps telling me that deep down he's still my best friend."
Phil took a deep breath before he said, "I don't know anymore, but hold onto that hope. Hope that Tommy needs."
"I will," he had to, if there was a slim chance of getting the Tommy they knew back he had to find it.
In the forest Techno stood leaned against a tree, trying to treat his wounds. He had torn off parts of his cape and used them as bandages. Whatever Tommy had done to his mind was wearing off and he was regaining leg strength.
"Techno," Wilbur said in a worried tone, Techno had instinctively drawn his sword and looked around for the invisible human-ghost. "Are you alright?"
"Demons below, Wilbur," Techno muttered, lowering his sword as Wilbur became visible. "Don't do that to me. I'm fine. Nothing I can't handle."
"Clearly not," Wilbur said, talking about how the makeshift bandages were already soaked. "Come back so those can be properly treated."
"No," Techno snapped, "I have to stay on Tommy's trail. He couldn't have gone far."
"Wait, he attacked you," Wilbur asked.
"Yeah, but we still have to find him. I'm fine mentally, just a few injuries," Techno said, and started to get up.
"You're no good to anyone dead, I know you think you messed up but you can do alot more if you come back with me," Wilbur said, grabbing his arm, hoping Techno would listen to reason.
Techno glanced from Wilbur to the broken branches ahead of them. "Fine."
"What happened," Wilbur asked, helping Techno stand up and walk. "I mean how is Tommy even alive?"
"An old spell I found in the Count's library," Techno said, not wanting to explain further. The spell had required a life, a life for a life, an eye for an eye as the old saying went. He saw an opportunity, a chance to be rid of the Count and bring his brother back.
So he took it.
Techno thought having Tommy help him with his true goal would ensure that neither of them would want to keep the power. In the end Techno realized he should have given away the throne immediately instead of keeping it for himself. He wanted to give the people freedom, but his actions in doing so would have ended in catastrophe.
"I've been thinking," Sam said, back in the manor as he instructed Ranboo what ingredients to brew together and how. "About how you said you wanted a back up plan."
"Go on," Drista said, standing next to Phil and Sapnap.
"In my travels and experiments I found a way to access a realm beyond the Overworld and Nether. Ever wonder why you never run into Nether Demons here?" Sam spread out two maps, one of the Overworld, one of the Nether. "It's because they have their own plane of existence. Whatever they go through gives them access to both this new realm and the Overworld, but it also severs their connection to the Nether.
"I call it The End."
Yay! Totally didn't find a plot hole and use The End to fill it in. So with the pace I'm going at I believe it's going to be one or two more chapters before this is finished. Thank you all for reading and please vote and comment!
Peace out YouTubers from around the world!
