Technoblade saw the teen groan as he woke up, he refused to leave his side, despite the protests of the council demanding to know what had happened to the Count. Techno put a comforting hand on his leg as he sat up, and pain shot up his back.

"We got as much of the silver out of your system as we could, but there are flecks that we weren't able to remove," Techno explained, "do you remember your name?"

"My name? It's-" he strained trying to search his empty brain for anything and something stood out to him, "my name is Tommy. And you're Technoblade, my brother. Where am I?"

"That doesn't matter right now," He pulled Tommy in for a hug, "what matters is that you're okay. I have much to explain to you."

"What happened to me," Tommy looked down at the bandages around his chest, minor burns dotted his arms and chest.

"I don't know, I wasn't there, but I was able to get you out of there," Techno said, the best thing he could do was be honest with him, "get on a shirt and if you would like, that cloak." Laying beside the bed was a black tunic and a black cloak with a red inside. Techno stood up and put on the large red cloak with white fur on the hem and neck, fastening it around him with a golden chain.

"Technoblade," the demon councilman demanded as he left the small bedroom, "where is the Count?"

"It is as I have told you, the Count is dead," Techno growled, "a shadow demon snuck into the manor and killed him, I killed the shade as he shadow lept away. I am merely ruling until Lady Drista returns. Once she does I will relinquish my power."

"What's going on," Tommy said emerging from the room, the tunic fit perfectly and he hadn't put on the cape.

"Your brother is taking the Count's throne and is calling himself a king," the fallen angel councilwoman said.

"Well if someone else is supposed to inherit the throne why aren't they here," Tommy said, thinking that the least he could do was back up his brother. He had brought up a good argument the council hadn't thought of, "and if not then Technoblade is the most qualified to do so."

"Pardon Tommy, his healing from major injuries has left his memories scrambled," Techno said, as much as he appreciated Tommy backing him up, the last part could be seen as Tommy blindly taking his side.

"What evidence do you have of this," The fallen angel asked.

"I'm the one who treated him," Ranboo stepped forward, no one had noticed him enter, "the spell I used to heal Tommy was very experimental and one of the side effects was a complete memory wipe. It's a miracle he still remembers his name, let alone Technoblade."

"Which is why," Techno put a hand on Tommy's shoulder, "I will be personally working with him to try and restore memories and inform him of our customs. Something I would like to start right away. If there isn't any other immediate trouble you should all leave us." With little protesting the council left the three.

"How are we supposed to do that," Tommy asked, "tell me everything you know and see if that triggers anything?"

"No, there's something else I need to talk to you about before we do anything else, Ranboo, I will call you back once we're done," Techno led him into the small bedroom.

"What's going on," Tommy said, "and don't say a shade killed this Count guy cause I have a feeling that's not true!"

"You're right, I killed him," Technoblade said, he didn't see any point in hiding things from Tommy, "but things are bigger than you think. I finally figured out the problem in all this, the source of this war. It's only still going because the Count and the king wanted it to. I can end it, we can end the tyranny of the monarchy."

"What are you talking about," Tommy was hesitant, but maybe Techno had a point.

"The burn you have is because the Count forced you to go to the king's castle, you nearly died because the king cared more about killing you than his son, Wilbur died because he was forced into this war," Techno said, "Tommy, I'm doing this not just for our family, but for the people being hurt by this ongoing war. I'm going to use the resources that I now have access to and bring down the human monarchy. And once that's done I will relinquish my power and give it back to our people. I need you to stand by me to keep me in check."

"Okay," Tommy said, then looked up at Techno, "Okay! I want to do this, we have to stop this war."

"Thank you Tommy," Techno said, giving him a hug, "you won't regret it."

"Now, about my memories," Tommy said, secretly hoping that they would give him reason to not fully rely on Technoblade.

"Of course," Techno hung up his cape and sat on the ground, Tommy following suit, "close your eyes and expand your mind." He was using the training for honing in his advanced hearing. "Listen carefully for the closest thing and slowly expand your range. Can you tell me what I'm thinking?"

"19, 7, 42, 21," Tommy muttered then asked without opening his eyes, "what do they mean?"

Those are our family's ages when we died, Techno thought, hoping that Tommy would hear.

"Did you say that out loud, your thoughts are so loud I can't tell the difference," Tommy then took some time to figure it out, "but your inner voice is more clear."

"Good, now let your instincts lead you and if you're up to it enter my mind and tell me what's going on through there," Techno said.
Tommy nodded and let his own thoughts go, expanding his mind and seeing everyone's thoughts, but with that came their worries and feelings. They flooded his mind, his insides started to burn as spots of red appeared on his face. His breathing accelerated and he started clenching and unclenching his fists.

"Tommy," Techno said, worried that he was pushing himself too far, "maybe you should stop for now."

"I feel, terror," an image of smoke and fire came to the surface of his mind. "Worry," this time a huge field, his hands were level with his head, and blood decorated the wood. "Betrayal," two people came to mind, a young girl with the pale skin of a vampire and golden blonde hair, and a young man with green and black clothing and the same blond hair.

His eyes bolted open, what was all of that?

"Are you alright," Techno asked, and Tommy nodded, "let's wait awhile before you do that again, okay?"

"Yeah," Tommy said, trying not to think much of all those emotions and the distant memories that came with them.

Wait, did you guys actually think I would kill off Tommy, well then again I wouldn't put it past me to kill an important character. Well you all know I had to include Techno's hated of government.
