After that everything was chaos for the trio that had infiltrated the castle.
"Sara," Tubbo called as he ran out to the side of the courtyard, "we have a big problem. Tommy's potion wore off. You have to get out of the sun." As Tubbo said that a burning sensation ran up her arm and she quickly pulled it out of the sunlight.
"Where's Tommy," She asked as he pulled her cloak out from her bag and put it on, pulling the hood over her face.
"Creating a distraction," Tubbo said as if it were obvious. His own disguise had begun to melt off his skin, revealing his real face, "I have the information we need."
"But you want to go back for him," Drista said and Tubbo looked longingly at the castle, Tommy had done so much to protect him, "You know what, forget the intel. Let's go back there and save your friend."
"Really," Tubbo asked, he wasn't expecting this from her.
"Yeah, you two seem like good friends, I can't separate you guys," Drista said, making sure the cloak was secure, "Now, how about kicking some human and angel butt?"
"Anything to save Tommy," Tubbo said, he visibly straightened and stood taller, but realized something, "But you'll burn up. If not they'll kill you on the spot."
"So, it's like you said, anything for Tommy," Drista argued.
"But he wouldn't want you to get yourself killed by trying to save him," Tubbo said as he tried to think of a different plan, "Go back. Cross over and get Philza, Wilbur, and Technoblade. They're Tommy's family and would also do anything for him."
"How do I cross over?"
"Run, as fast as you can, that's how Tommy does it."
"Good luck Tubbo."
"Thanks," He looked over at the castle doors, swallowing the lump in his throat, "I'll need it."
Drista glanced at the huge patch of sun between her and the forest. She took one deep breath before running through it. This was speed she had never felt before. She was only a black blur as she passed by the outside of the courtyard. Drista stopped upon reaching the trees. She looked around, trying to find a path long enough for her to get enough speed to cross over. The sun barely came through the thick trees, but there were still small patches that could be deadly.
Someone then raced from the courtyard and pinned her to the ground. Drista let out a scream as her hand passed through the sun leaving a bright white burn.
"Vampire," He growled, her eyes widened when she recognized the voice, it was Clay.
"My name's Drista," she screamed desperately as he raised a wooden stake above his head.
"What," the stake dropped from his hand and he backed up, "no, that's impossible. You're lying!" But before he could threaten her Drista had taken off through the forest. A loud pop could be heard as she crossed over.
Dream stumbled backwards. That couldn't have been Drista, she was lying, she had to be. But it didn't seem like a lie, not with how desperately she had said it.
"Clay," George called out as he ran over to the masked, bewildered man, "A demon got into the castle. Skeppy got Sapnap to safety. Are you okay? You seem like you've just seen a ghost."
"Some-something like that," He stammered, "I need to get to Sapnap." For once the prince's ideas of mercy towards the vampires didn't seem as outlandish anymore.
Deep inside the castle Tommy and Tubbo stood back to back, doing their best to defend against the countless human and angel warriors. Many of the soldiers wore pieces of silver armor and silver weapons.
"I guess this is it big man," Tubbo said, holding only a single steel katana, the other one somewhere on the stone floor. Tommy awkwardly held an axe he had snatched out of the hands of a soldier he had cut down. Red blood and the white blood of angels covered both of them. Black blood oozed out of a cut on Tommy's shoulder.
"Together till the end at least," Tommy muttered. He then held the axe above his head as he ran at a soldier and brought it down with a clang. Tubbo followed suit, attacking with the katana and rolling out of the way of other attacks. Tommy missed a strike and the axe pulled him down. He screamed in agony as his face skimmed past a silver plated shield. Now weaponless and badly injured Tommy was restrained by two men. The left side of his face was red and in some places white, he could barely see out of his left eye. Tubbo screamed as more soldiers jumped him, they dislocated his wing and it hung loose behind him. Tommy growled, struggling against them and ignoring his own pain.
"I want them both executed," The King declared as the soldiers parted for him, "an example must be made."
"No," Tommy screamed, his voice echoed through the halls, "Tubbo!"
"Tommy," Tubbo called back, his voice broken, he thought they were going to get out of this. Drista wasn't coming, she didn't care, and she knew that this was a suicide mission.
They were taken to the large field that the castle surrounded. The sun illuminated multiple different executions. A platform with a noose. A guillotine right in the center, caked with blood. A wooden platform surrounded by large boulders. A pole surrounded by ashes.
Tubbo's hands were bound behind him with thick rope. He was forced up the steps of the platform, his eyes wildly darting around as the noose was fastened loosely around his neck. Tommy kept growling and fighting his guards as he was escorted to the guillotine. His hands and head were forced into the three holes in the wood. His head throbbed and mind raced. This wasn't it. It couldn't be."Stop," Clay screamed, running in, "please!" Behind him was Drista walking next to Technoblade who held a knife to Sapnap's throat.
"Release the demon and angel," Drista commanded, "or he will slit the prince's throat. And last time I checked, demigods don't reincarnate."
"Young lady you are in no position to make threats," the king said, "we have you outnumbered, even if you do have the prince. We both know you're going to kill him anyway, might as well get rid of a demon and traitorous angel while I'm at it. Carry on."
"No," Tubbo screamed as the guillotine blade came down. Then nothing, it froze in place. Tommy released the breath of air he was holding. He was relieved but also confused as to what had happened.
"How," Drista whispered in disbelief then looked over at Tubbo. He was a telekinetic. Like Tommy he had his own ability.
"Would you like to consider," Techno said, pressing the knife into Sapnap's throat, starting to draw blood, he then spat, "Your Majesty?" But Clay didn't wait for orders, he ran up to the guillotine and tied down the rope attached to the blade. He then unlatched the wooden pillory that trapped Tommy. Tubbo's eyes went wide as the platform under him swung down, seeing what the guard had done Clay threw a dagger and sliced the rope. Tubbo gasped for air as he tore off the rope.
"Thanks I guess," Tommy said.
"I didn't do it for you," He glanced at Sapnap then at the king, who hadn't hesitated to just let Sapnap die, "just get the hell out of here. But if he doesn't come back I will hunt you down."
"I'll make sure he does," Tommy promised, it was only a matter of convincing Techno to let go of their only leverage.
Okay, I'll stop with the fake out deaths. But I can't promise that there won't be any death. Hehehehehe. Well as always thanks for reading and please vote and comment!
