Yeona turns off her alarm before it even makes a sound, she has barely slept at all, her stomach churning and her mind racing with anxiety. It is Friday morning, the day of both her and Taemin's audition, and she is beyond terrified.
She pries herself out from under Jonghyun's arm, and makes her way over to the bathroom. Staring at her naked reflection in the mirror for too long, unable to see whether she has managed to drop any weight in the last week, she is worried that she will not be thin enough to be accepted into the company.
Before she can pick at herself anymore, she turns around and showers to be ready for the day. She towel dries her hair before exiting the bathroom, to see Jonghyun still asleep in his bed. She dresses quickly, in her most fashionable clothes, still comfortable enough to dance in but good enough to show that she knows how to dress well.
"I have to go back to my dorm, Jjong-ah." she whispers
Jonghyun stirs, his eyes open just enough to see Yeona in front of him. He reaches out to her, and she leans in to kiss him quickly. He tries to pull her closer but she resists, her nerves too high to let herself get distracted.
"Wish Taemin luck for me, Jagi." he replies
"I will. I'll speak to you later." Yeona says
Yeona turns to leave the dorm, waving again to Jonghyun who has curled back up under the sheets. He looks so adorable when he is tired, her heart swells at the sight of him.

Walking back to her dorm, Yeona takes her phone out of her pocket to message Taemin.
Yeona
I'm heading back to my dorm to do my hair and makeup, want to meet me there?
She doesn't even reach the end of the corridor before she gets a reply from him.
Taemin
Sure! I'm just getting ready now, I'll be there soon.
Yeona reaches her door and lets herself in, leaving it unlocked so that she doesn't need to stop what she is doing to let Taemin inside when he arrives. She blow dries her hair, and ties it back in her signature high ponytail, grateful she was able to see her hairdresser this week, her blonde underside is fresh and bright, the ends cut straight and healthy.
She does her makeup, simple but full coverage, not wanting to go overboard but wanting to feel good about her skin. Taemin enters just as she applies her false lashes, and she turns to face him once she is done.
"You look great, Yeona." Taemin says
"So do you!" Yeona replies
"You're terrified, right?" Taemin asks
"I'm gonna be sick, I think." Yeona admits
"Just as long as you don't vomit on anyone during your performance, I'm sure you'll be fine." Taemin jokes
"Ha-ha, thanks Minnie." she replies sarcastically
Once they are both ready, after Yeona helps Taemin finish his makeup, they walk together towards the dance classrooms. They head to the practice room that they always use, and once inside, Yeona kicks off her shoes and steps onto the set of scales near the door.
"You've been dieting, haven't you?" Taemin asks
Yeona looks down at the numbers at her feet, significantly less than last week. She feels she may have taken this too seriously, having gone out and bought diet pills and tea, and only picking at one meal a day while exercising for hours. It's worked though, and the numbers show that it has worked, but she knows it is not healthy.
