It takes a moment for Yeona to register what is happening, and it's not until Jonghyun's fingers knot in her hair that she realises that they are really together. She isn't dreaming, his body is pressed against hers and she is by his side once more. She feels his warmth, his closeness, a sensation that she missed so much.
"Why are you back?" Yeona asks
She leans back momentarily, her eyes locked with the man holding her against him. His hand moves from her hair, to hold her cheek, staring deep into her eyes, analysing the face that he has missed seeing up so close.
"I never wanted to go in the first place." Jonghyun replies
Jonghyun presses his lips to hers once more, and his hand moves from Yeona's cheek back to her hair. Their kiss is gentle, but only momentarily, as Jonghyun's fingers tighten through her locks, she winces, giving him the chance to slip his tongue into her mouth. Yeona tastes him, after so long and so many dreams of doing exactly that, she tastes him again. A mess of salty tears, and lingering alcohol on their tongues, desperation pulling them closer to one another.
"I'm not good enough for you!" Yeona cries
Jonghyun's grip tightens in Yeona's hair, pulling her back so he can see her face. She looks fearful, unsure, confused and hurt. Jonghyun admires the girl in front of him, the one who broke him, and he feels conflicting emotions the longer he stares.
"You hurt me so much, Yeona." Jonghyun says, his voice cracking as he speaks
"I know, and I'm sorry. You deserve so much better." Yeona says
"I don't want better, I need you." Jonghyun replies
"I'm scared, Jjong." Yeona whispers
Jonghyun releases his grip on her hair, taking to cup her cheek instead. Hearing Yeona admit her fear is more than he could have ever asked for, to have her be open with him like this is beyond his wildest dreams.
"It's okay to be scared, you just can't run away every time you're afraid." Jonghyun says
"I don't want to run away anymore." Yeona responds, her voice still quiet
He kisses her once more, sending reassurance to her through their embrace. Jonghyun's hands explore her body, remembering every part of her. Yeona's fingers trace shapes on Jonghyun's back through his shirt, and she desperately pulls him closer to her still.
She bites his lip, and forces her way into his mouth with her tongue. Her tears still flow, but are slowly ceasing as she begins to feel slightly more whole again. With each second they get closer, Jonghyun's hand slips under Yeona's shirt to caress her bare skin.
"Don't hurt me like that ever again." Jonghyun orders
Yeona notices a change in Jonghyun's tone, dark like she hasn't heard before, but she likes it. He licks his lips before kissing her again, this time with an intensity much greater than they have shared, hungry, like he could devour her in a heartbeat. His fingers comb through her hair again, settling at the nape of her neck.
"I won't." Yeona replies
"You'd better not." Jonghyun threatens
Jonghyun pulls Yeona's hair again, tilting her head back so he can kiss down her neck. Yeona grabs tight to him, feeling weak at the knees under his rough touch. He bites, licks, and sucks at her skin, marking her with his lips, making sure that she will not be able to hide that she is his, and his only.
"You're wearing the shirt." Jonghyun observes
"I know." Yeona says
A whine escapes Yeona's mouth as Jonghyun pulls her t-shirt up over her head. He lay kisses and marks across her collarbones as he palms her breasts through her bra. Yeona unbuttons his shirt to pull the material off him too, leaving him in only his suit pants. His body just as, if not more, immaculate than the last time she saw it.
