After class, Taemin receives a call from his boss asking him to work, so Yeona bids him farewell before making her way back to her dorm. She takes the long route again, to pass the cafe, which is open, as it's not as late as it was the previous day after her study session. She sees Kibum working behind the counter, and decides to go in to buy herself a coffee to get her through her evening of homework.
"Yeona!" Kibum yells loudly
"Hi, Kibum-oppa." Yeona says
"Soy chai?" he asks
"As always, for takeaway please." Yeona smiles in response
She pays and then stands to the side and awaits her drink, staring mindlessly at her phone, she scrolls through her social networking sites as she waits.
"Chai latte for... oh Yeona!"
She looks up, hearing the familiar voice, and can't help the smile that creeps across her face as her eyes connect with Jonghyun.
"Hi! I didn't know if you'd be working!" she beams at him
"I'm just finishing. Can I walk you to your dorm?" Jonghyun asks
"Sure!" she says
Jonghyun hands Yeona her drink, gently grazing fingers like yesterday, and he smiles at her before returning to the kitchen. She takes small sips as she waits a few minutes for him to finalise his shift, before he stands in front of her again. He is wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans, and she wonders to herself how a man can look so effortlessly handsome all of the time.
"May I take your bag?" he asks
Yeona blushes, and with a nod she takes her satchel full of books off her shoulder and holds it out to Jonghyun. They both say goodbye to Kibum, and they pretend to ignore the wink he gave them, before they exit the cafe, with Jonghyun holding the door open for Yeona to exit first.
"Do you work at the cafe every day?" Yeona asks
"Maybe three to five times a week? I have no more shifts until Monday though, so it's my weekend!" Jonghyun says happily
"What are your plans for the weekend?" Yeona asks another question
"Seeing you, of course! Other than that, I have no plans apart from getting more homework done." Jonghyun replies
Yeona feels her cheeks redden again, she never blushes this much but every word from Jonghyun sends her spiralling. She tries to focus on the drink in her hands, and the floor in front of her, to keep her grounded. It doesn't take long for them to reach Yeona's dorm, and she reaches behind Jonghyun to get her key from the bag he carried for her.
"I'm sorry my bag is so heavy." she says
"It's nothing! I wanted to take it for you." Jonghyun insists
"You're too sweet, Jonghyun." she replies
"No honorifics today?" he teases
Yeona's eyes widen, she couldn't remember whether it was a dream that she had used honorifics when she was speaking to him late last night, but Jonghyun has confirmed that for her now, it was not a dream.
"Sorry... I can use them, if you want me to." she stutters
"I'm just teasing! Please don't, and call me Jjong if you'd like." he says
"You had me worried! Well, thank you for carrying my bag for me, Jjong." Yeona says
They stare at each other for too long, until Yeona giggles and reaches out for her bag on the elder's shoulder. Every fibre of Yeona's being is begging her to invite him in, not wanting to be apart from him again, but the logical part of her brain is telling her not to make herself look easy. Jonghyun takes a moment to realise that Yeona is reaching for her bag, and fumbles to remove it from his shoulder and hold it out for her.
