"Well hello Evans, " James said sitting down next to the redheaded girl who was curled up in front of the fire on the common room couch trying to read, her peaceful moment broken by the boy causing a frown to reside on her lips.
She instantly tried to escape fro the blanket and walk away from him, but before she could get away he clutched Lily gently by the wrist causing her to turn around and look at him.
A look of need on his face as he ushered for her to sit back down.

"Do you need something Potter?" she said with a somewhat confused somewhat worried look on her face, her stare grew sharp as he didn't answer her question, waiting for er to finally sit back down.
"Actually yes," he said innocently, "I would love your help," followed by a cheeky smile. Her demeanour softened as she sat back down beside him, her attention now fully on him.

"So you're best friends with Marigold, correct?"
"Yes, that would be correct" she said as his face broke out into his signature Potter smirk, one that he had flashed hundreds of times, but never failed to make Lily flare up with goosebumps.
"Well I've been thinking lately, Remus and Mari would work out well together, don't you think?" he suggested, nudging her in the arm, his devilish tone never faltering as he waited for her response.
"I mean it's quite obvious that they would work out well," she deadpanned making his brows furrow.
"But she's far too shy to ever make a move on him, and he doesn't seem like he would ever make a move either," she shrugged, staring at James' complexion as he concentrated on the fire. Her mind wandered to the perfection of his side profile, how perfectly his glasses sat on the bridge of his nose. Taking in the subtle movement of the clenching of his jaw which helped accentuate his very sharp jawline.

"What do you mean it's obvious? I've never noticed her showing any sort of interest towards him, let alone romantic interest? I've barely witnessed her take interest in anyone in the school other than your three friends, and the odd partner in class" he looked at her confused, Lily quickly snapped her head to face forward the fire trying not to be caught staring at him.
"Really? You must be rather daft if you haven't noticed their obvious attraction to one another," she mused and turned back to look at James to see him rolling his eyes.
"I'm being serious, they have both shown an evident liking for each other, or at least I've noticed. They enjoy the same things, both have fairly similar personality traits, I mean they practically eye fuck each other in the hallway" she said jokingly laughing at her self making James smile down at her.

"I mean have you ever been in the same room as them while their having a conversation, the sexual tension could be cut with a knife" James blinked at her response, unable to name a time that he has witnessed them talking to each other.
"And for Marigold's socialness I don't think you've been paying close enough attention, actually I don't think you pay attention ever," she jabbed at him making him laugh at her short temperateness.
