❝ See Moony even Minnie sees it ❞
╰━ ⋅☾⋅ ━━✶━━ ⋅☽⋅ ━╯James, Remus, Peter, and Sirius sat each with a teacup in their hands, as McGonagall poured a small portion of peppermint tea into each cup, along with one singular sugar cube each. She turned around and placed her kettle down on the tray spinning around to look at the boys with a smile on her face, handing them all teaspoons.
This tradition of weekly tea had started around the boy's third year, McGonagall would often call each boy in separately to have conversations about schoolwork or when it came to Remus to speak about his condition.
It then became a joint weekly thing where they all meet up once a week to rant and talk about their lives and get some sort of Motherly insight from their favourite professor.Minerva enjoyed these moments with the boys, the hour helped her connect with her students, she learned more insight about the students' social lives, and she used it to her advantage.
She had always had a very strong bond with these four throughout their time so far at Hogwarts, they were her boys.
She never had any children before the tragic death of her late husband, and these four made up for it. The amount of mischief the bunch caused in their period at the school was enough for a lifetime. The boys looked at her with innocent eyes as she sat back down. "So how was this past week boys?" she asked while taking a sip of her tea, the four tried to speak all at once, "one at a time please" she mused watching as all four boys calmed in their seats.
"Oh well Minnie I'm sure you're aware that I made a chaser again," James said with a cheeky smile.
The woman softly smiled as she handed Peter a handkerchief for the team he spilt on himself, "I did Potter! Better get in line before the first game, I'm expecting the cup this year," she said nodding her head, "Oh and best of behaviour, I get a say when it comes to picking captain," she winked making James nod with a grin.James was secretly her favourite, he reminded her a lot of her young husband.
The cheeky grins and the constant shenanigans he found himself in just added to the list of similarities. Not to mention Minnies and his shared love for the art of quidditch, there had never been a dull moment on the field once James Potter became a lasting member of the Gryffindor team."Ooo, Minnie! Remus has a girlfriend" Sirius said slamming his teacup down on her desk and jumping out of his seat, his grin big as he squealed like a little girl, poking Moony in the arms tauntingly.
"I do not" Remus interjected lowly as he grabbed Sirius by the forearm and pulled the long-haired boy back into his seat, a scowl now on his face as he tried to hide the blush rising up his cheeks with his hands."A girl? That's news," The woman said with her eyebrows raised, an amused smile on her face as she watched him grow embarrassed, his face in his hand as the boys laughed at his torture.
"I mean, sure I like a girl, but I'm not too sure she feels the same. Our relationship is simply platonic, and it's all we've ever been, just friends " Remus stated, placing his tea on her desk.
"It sounds like excuses to me Mr. Lupin, I'm sure Ms. Montgomery would be joyous to have a lovely young man such as yourself pining after her," All the boys looked at her confused, curious as to how she knew who the girl was. "Don't look at me like that, it's rather obvious Remus, you look at her the way Peter looks at chicken legs during dinner" Peter's face went a bright shade of red making James and Sirius burst out laughing.
