Remus and Marigold sat at their kitchen table each with a half-drank cup of coffee in their hands.
The mugs were Hope's old hand-painted pottery that she had raved about to the girl when they had first met, Mari absolutely cherished them.

Six in the morning on a Sunday, waking up in each other's arms in the comfort of their own home, it felt like a dream. The couple sat in complete silence, winding down from the heavy lifting and decorating they did around the house the night before.

The Daily Prophet laid on the table in front of them, news of new attacks, something that the couple had been glad to be hidden away from.
Neither of them could comprehend the climate of the outside world, not during the earliest hours of the morning.

The summer sunrise was peaking through the curtains and shining on Remus' face.
Marigold's hand moved from her warm mug to clutch his hand as she watched him absorb the warmth of the light hitting his face.
The iris's in his eyes turning a golden colour, the freckles on the bridge of his nose starting to peak through because of the amount of sun the two had been getting, the scars on his face and neck practically illuminated in the sun's light.

He was ethereal.

It had been a long weekend, the two of them in a never-ending fight with Dumbledore, he wasn't particularly enthralled about the idea of Mari no longer staying on the Campus of St. Mungos.
Whereas her actual headmaster had gladly given her the go-ahead.

Flashback
"Albus, she is no longer under your jurisdiction" Professor Bagman reminded him as Dumbledore stood up out of his desk.

"I may not be her teacher, but she is still under my authority!" he slammed his hand on the table, anger seemed to be his only defensive tactic.

His loud movements made both Remus and Marigold flinch, Remus' hand tightly squeezed hers as they made eye contact.

His office felt suffocating, people all around the room raising their voices in a fight that wasn't worth the argument. Remus' jaw had not unclenched since he had finished his disagreement with Albus.

Marigold was done, this man was not going to have control of her any longer if he expected her to work alongside him.

"You are going to listen to my next words and you aren't going to say anything until I leave this office," she said quietly, standing up and leaning over the man's desk getting in his face
