"Charles, are you sure about it this time?" Elizabeth asked her son who recently told her his plan of asking for Diana's hand in marriage to marry him again.

"I am ma, no pressure from you or pa to do this. I am marrying her again because I want to, because I love her." Charles said to his mother the queen.

"Both of you have hurt each other in the past that shook the firm itself. I don't want the two of you making the same mistake and endanger the monarchy again because of your misunderstandings."

"We were immature then, living life for the moment. What happened during our first marriage made us stronger, made us mature. This time our marriage will be different." Charles said beaming with confidence.

Charles went to his sister Anne's home after his talk with his mother the queen.

"So you are marrying her again, congratulations." Anne said to her elder brother.

"Thanks Anne."

"Diana's been through hell with you in the past Charles, don't send her there again."

Charles lowered his head, the memories of how he treated Diana before played back in his head. "I know."

"I saw how you treat her since the accident, how the two of you spend time together and I can see the difference. I know you love her this time Charles and I am happy you finally got to your senses."

After drinking tea with Anne, Charles was about to leave when he saw his brother Andrew who just arrived.

"I was looking for you at Buckingham, good thing your secretary was there and told me you'll be here at our sister's home." Andrew said after greeting Charles and Anne

"Yes, I left in a hurry to meet with Anne. Did you bring it with you?" Charles asked.

"Of course I did, here." Andrew handed over a box of ring to Charles.

Charles inspected the ring and showed it to Anne.

"Wow, you outdid your last engagement ring to her with this." Anne said when she saw a large sapphire ring in the middle surrounded by 15 red diamonds.

"I personally designed that myself and asked Andrew to have it made in secret." Charles said and scratched the back of his head.

"I know the sapphire diamond represents Diana but the red diamonds, why 15?" Anne asked in curiousity.

"Their first marriage lasted 15 years, and Charles chose red diamonds because it will serve as a reminder to him of the pain and tears he inflicted on Diana all those years." Andrew explained, Charles told him the story behind the design when he asked him to have it made by the royal jeweler.

Diana can now walk on her own and want to do work as soon as possible so she could help more less fortunate people around the world. She will talk to Charles about it first before she makes any schedule to avoid any misunderstandings and arguments on the future.

It was late afternoon when Charles returned home to Highgrove, he looked for Diana and saw her in his office writing letters of gratitude to the people who sent letters and gifts to her for her recovery.

Charles knocked to call her attention and said, "It is almost dinnertime, will you go out and have dinner with me?"

Diana stopped writing, "Of course I will just finish this letter and change my dress."

"No, your dress is fine. Just wear a cashmere it is a little cold outside, we will eat at the garden." Charles told her, he's also wearing casual that evening. Khaki pants, white long sleeves and a dark gray cashmere.
