"Please check your tea leaves!" Professor Trelawney commanded. Sirius and Caroline laughed, both wondering how tea leaves could determine your future. "They should spell out your soulmate's initial, it could be the last initial or the first!"

"What's on yours?" Sirius asked.

"L," Caroline answered giddily. The Black boy had hoped that it would be an S or a B, for Sirius Black but it was an L. Who the bloody hell has a name that starts with an L? Sirius thought to himself. L is for loser. At least I'm not a loser like Caroline's soulmate, I'm better than him.

"What did you get, Remus?" Caroline asked. Remus leaned forward a bit so he could see Caroline over Sirius and glanced at his tea cup. She thought that the idea of them being soulmates was not likely but not impossible.

"A," Remus sighed. He didn't know anyone with a last or first name with an initial of A, so he probably hadn't even met his soulmate yet. He wished that it was a C or a P, so Caroline could believe that they were meant to be. Sure, she loved him but being soulmates could really seal the deal.

"Oh," Caroline said softly. Her previous smile faltered slightly and she looked away from Remus, turning towards Sirius. "Sirius, what did you get?"

"P," Sirius frowned. Maybe Caroline was his soulmate but he wasn't hers? He thought about Caroline even having potential to be his soulmate and shook his head at the stupidity.

"Listen Sirius. You are awesome and so unbelievably good looking. You could have any girl in all of Hogwarts and you could even get Lily if you actually tried," he said jokingly. "Okay, be serious though. Haha, Sirius," he snorted at his own joke.

Sirius calmed himself down and began pep-talking himself again. "You are a hilarious guy, which adds to why Caroline would want to date you. All you gotta do is give her the flowers and confess your love again and this time, she'll actually say yes."

The Black boy nervously gripped the stems of the sunflowers, which were bundled together by a pastel pink ribbon. He knocked on the door to Caroline's dorm and stepped back with the flowers in front of his chest. Caroline casually opened the door and Sirius sent her a dazzling smile. "Hey, princess. Can we talk?"

"Of course," Caroline agreed. She stepped out of the safety of her dorm and closed the door behind her so no one inside could overhear their conversation. "What's up?"

"Can we walk while we talk?" Sirius asked. Caroline nodded and they walked down the stairs and out of the common room in silence. They started to walk down an empty corridor and Sirius deeply exhaled to calm his nerves. "I know we already talked about this but I want to talk about it again."

Caroline knew exactly where this was going and she opened her mouth to refuse hearing the entire confession again but Sirius cut her off. "I know you said maybe in the future, but I've waited and it's pretty good into the future from the last time we talked so I was wondering if you've changed your mind."

"Sirius, it's been a week," Caroline sighed. "You expect me to have an answer for you in a week?"

"C'mon, Care. I've done my waiting and I want to know if there's ever a chance for us," Sirius begged. "Why can't you just give me a chance? Look, I've waited for you since last year in May and I've waited for you while you were dating Wood and months later, I'm still waiting for you."

"Sirius-"

"What can I do to make you realize that we would be perfect together? I've practically rejected every girl who's asked me out because I've been waiting for you and I-I quit smoking for you," Sirius listed. Caroline's pace quickened and Sirius had to jog to keep up with her while talking at the same time.
