Skull repairs

Dream sighed as he watched his brothers sleeping form. He frowned as he stared at the hole in Nightmare's skull. That hole still worried him. It's been almost another whole week and his brother still hasn't woken up yet.

The positive skeleton sighed and started to wonder if his brother would ever wake up... if he even wanted to wake up.

Sans hummed as he walked into the room. He looked like a mess after helping work on a machine, for a private project, on one of the lower levels. He stopped as he noticed Dream's gloomy expression.

He thought for a moment before walking over and placed a hand on Dream's shoulder. Dream blinked as he looked up at the owner of the hand. "Hey um Dream? Why don' u take a break an go fer a small walk?" He suggested and rubbed the back of his neck.

"U know. Ta clear ur head a lil." He blinked and glanced at Nightmare. Dream thought as he looked Sans over noticing the dark black splotches that were on parts of his skull and clothes. The odd liquid appeared to have a rainbow reflection off of it as the light was hitting it.

"Yeah I know. 'm covered in oil. Was headin ta da showers buuuut.... if ya want. I can stay 'ere an watch ur brother while ya take a lil walk. Cause ya look like ya need ta clear ur head." Sans stated as he looked down at Dream.

"But... what if he wakes up?" "Don' worry 'bout dat. 'll simply yell fer ya if dat happens." Sans thought as he looked over at Nightmare his eye lights dilating and turning a bit fuzzy. "Sides sumtimes ya need ta clear ur head an relax."

"I... I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a small walk... But I'm only pacing up and down that hallway over there!" Dream pointed at a hallway that had no walls and was brightly lit up. He then stood up and walked to the other side of the bed.

"Oh u wanna walk through da core path? I mean if ya want ta sure. But u need ta be careful an make sure ur holdin onto da hand rail. Dat walkway dere is still bein renovated in some places. Yeah 's still used by everyone but 's good fer u ta know." Sans explained as he took the search that Dream had been sitting in earlier.

"Hu? Why is it being rebuilt?" "Da word ur lookin fer is renovated. 's not completely destroyed... Ya see dere was an earthquake a few months back. It destroyed a few uf da support beams dat connect da walkway ta da ceilin. 's thankfully only in 1 area so 's contained an easy ta remember where da area dat's damaged is at. Only reason we haven' gotten 'round ta fixin it is cause dere aren' enough flyin monsters ta help lift us up ta da area ta start fixing. So yeah renovation fer da area has been postponed until further notice."

Sans gave a small wave of his hand then glanced up at Dream. "Don' worry da unstable area isn' nearby. 's further within da core, at da X intersection, so 'll be fine. Though still. Hold onto da handrail as ya walk." Dream slowly nodded as he listened to Sans.

"Okay... just... Please let me know if he wakes up." Sans smiled up at the skeleton in yellow and gave a thumbs up. "Sure thin." He then watched as Dream walked off to one of the few entrances that allowed the scientists to walk over the core and look down at the floor.

Sans then looked down at Nightmare. His grin shifting ever so slightly as it softened. "Heh. Don' worry. Ur gonna have a great new life once u wake up."

He thought for a moment before starting to tell a random story to the sleeping skeleton. He decided to tell the skeleton the story about the tortoise and the hare.
