Gaster hummed as he sat on the floor next to Papyrus. His youngest son loves his new doctor toys. Papyrus blinked as he held up one of the toy tools he had gotten for his birthday. Happily showing it to him, trying his best to pronounce some of the tools. He was having a bit of a problem with some of the names. Like stethoscope.
He hummed as he glanced over at the clock. Seeing that it was only 2 PM. Nightmare and Dream were out at the moment. They were at the C.O.R.E. The twins having an appointment with their therapists. A.K.A Cypress and Muhammad. The twins wouldn't get home till around 4 PM.
Cypress and Muhammad both have degrees in psychology. As well as both of them being registered therapists. The two of them having taken the classes and worked on the necessary degrees as a backup plan, if they never got one of the places to work in the C.O.R.E with him back when he opened up the job positions, they had something to go into. He is happy that he had hired the two of them. They are amazing scientists, plus since they have those other fields that makes them amazing therapists as well.
Nightmare and Dream started taking these therapy sessions not long after they had come home with him. He had seen some worrying things from his sons. Specifically PTSD with the two, Nightmare having some self-worth issues and food issues. As some nights he use to see that Nightmare didn't eat much and had given more of his food to Dream.
He doesn't fully know what could've cause this problem. Maybe for a time getting food was hard for the twins? But they lived next to the village... maybe he should ask Nightmare about it. If hes comfortable talking about it.
Dream also had a problem with not wanting to leave his brothers side or keeping his sockets off of him. Which was reasonable. He had watch his brother almost die in his arms. So, having paranoia is only natural.
This fear having moved over to Sans and Papyrus once the two of them became his brothers as well. Dream tried hard to not let it be obvious that he was watching his brothers when their in the same room. The only reason he noticed is because he did spot how Dream staid close to Nightmare's side. Or if Nightmare was with him, he was extra close to Papyrus while keeping a socket on Sans. He noticed because he was the same when Sans was born and put into the tank of MD solution... that and Dream has a fear of specific types of tea pots. After learning that some villagers tried to drug Dream, it made a lot of sense and explained some things.
Basically the twins have problems that can only be helped by the hands of a therapist. After all there is only so much he can do to help them as a father. Though he could make sure that the twins got the help they needed.
He already planned to send the twins out for therapy. But before they started up those sessions, he wanted the two to get use to their new home. Get use to Snowdin, get use to everything first. As they were in a new world and everything had confused them.
After a month he believed the two were finally ready to see them for therapy. Since then they have been going to the C.O.R.E twice a month for these sessions. The progress in those sessions have been amazing, and hes glad that they've been slowly healing from the mental scars they were given before appearing in their world.
Plus he wants to make sure to keep the whole Dream and Nightmare are from an alternate universe. After all he doesn't want monsters to hear that the twins are from another reality and think they brought rhem here on accident or purpose. They have no way to travel to another world, and if monsters believe they can do that, then they would only be filled with false hope. He doesn't want to give everyone any false hope. At least till he finds a way to travel to another universe.
