Science is fun

Gaster softly hummed as he sat at his desk in the basement. Reading over a few report papers that his team mates wrote up. Needing to read over to see how everyone is progressing well with their projects. The skeleton picked up another set of papers once he finished reading each report. Placing the papers in a folder and setting it off to the side. Then picked up a different set of paperwork that needed to be done that week.

Humming to himself as he read through the paper. Hearing the basement door swing open. Two pairs of steps quickly making their way down the stairs. Looking over and smiling as the twins rounded the corner from the wall that blocked the stairs were behind.

"Hello my sons. Do you need anything?" Leaning back in his chair, while closing the folder he was reading through wjth one hand. Pushing away from his desk and relaxing.

Dream and Nightmare looked at one another. Saying nothing for a moment before looking at Gaster. Then Nightmare slowly walked forward. Pulling a book out of his inventory. Holding it in front of him and showing the cover to Gaster.

Dream walked up next to Nightmare. "Um... can we... Can we do one of these experiments with you? I-If you're not too busy!" Dream nervously questioned while tapping his fingers together.

Gaster stared at the twins silently for a moment. Before a large excited smile formed. He happily summoned some magic hands and pulled the twins over to him. Hugging the two close. "OH! My sons are starting to gain an interest in science and experiments! This is so wonderful!"

He happily held the twins close before setting them on his lap, the twins giggling a little at their fathers reaction. Looking at the science book the two had brought with them. The book doesn't seem to have anything too complex. Mostly experiments that either kids can mostly do on their own or stuff little kids can do with either of their parents or older siblings. Plenty of good fun starting points for any kid that was interested in science.

"So which experiment do you two wish to do?" Gaster tilted his head slightly. Looking at the two with a happy grin.

Nightmare smiled a little. Opening the book while flipping through the pages trying to find the experiment that interested him and Dream a lot. There was a soda bottle rocket, a balloon inter via soda and mint, pepper plane rubber band flying, something called elephant toothpaste.

Dream smiled as he pointed at picture. Making Nightmare stop his page turning. Making the purple ivory skeleton give the yellow ivory skeleton the side eye. "I wanna try to do this one." He smiled. Pointing to the crystal growing experiment. There was also a page on a rock candy version of the experiment.

Gaster gave a soft hum and nodded a little. Chuckling at Nightmare's slight frustration at his twin. Nightmare then started to flip through the pages after elbowing Dream's hand away.

Nightmare then pointed at a picture of a baking soda volcano. "This one looks fun." He slightly smiled. Part of the steps to the experiment suggested to create a makeshift volcano around the container the liquid will be contained in. To make it look more like a real volcano.

Gaster smiled and nodded as he looked at the experiments. "I see. Well Dream. Your experiment will take a few days to make. So we can happily watch as it grows."

Dream nodded. He already had an idea of how long it would take. Smiling and looking over at Nightmare. Then looked back at the book. "Can we do some of these other experiments too?" Tilting his head slightly as he looked at some of the other experiments.
