Gaster sat at the dinner table. Reading over a few different papers that were scattered across the table, some of these papers were in a few different careful piles that were carefully put together. A few folders placed aside for all the paper work.
It was slightly late. Having put his children to bed an hour ago. Allowing him to sit in peace to work away on finalizing the necessary papers.
"Let's see..." Gaster thought as he was writing one of the papers. "Gaster what are you doing?" Dream questioned as he walked over to the table. Pulling a chair out and climbing into it. Looking up at the tall skeleton in confusion.
"Oh Dream." Gaster looked up at the yellow skeleton. Summoning a set of magic hands to talk. The yellow skeleton was wearing a set of pale yellow pajamas. "What are you doing up?" He questioned and smiled at the skeleton.
"Couldn't really sleep... So what are you doing?" Dream replied and swung his legs a little. Gaster nodded a little and softly chuckled.
"I am just getting you and Nightmare prepared for school. Now that the two of you can read, write in monster language, and know how to work with math equations. You will be able to better understand what will be happening in the classes. You two will love your teachers. Just need to finalize these papers, then in the morning you and your brother will get to see the school for yourselves, and met the teachers." He explained, looking back down at the last few papers.
"I made sure to try and get you two in the same classes with one another. Since it is a new experience and all. I believe there is one class where you two won't be together but it is just the one."
Dream slowly nodded as he listened to Gaster. A thought went through his head as he took a peek at the papers and read some of the information. Raising a brow as he looked at a paper that had a name on it.
"If your wondering what that paper is about. That one is about your allergies." Gaster answered before Dream could ask. Dream looked up and Gaster and slightly tilted his head.
He remembered those tests from the lab. Especially the spinal tap. That needle not only felt odd but also very uncomfortable. "Well um... are we allergic to anything?"
"Yes you two have an allergy to soy, it seems to be more severe for Nightmare then it would be to you. It is nothing to really worry about. But when your getting snacked or well any food. You need to make sure to check the list of ingredient. Thankfully there is no soy in any monster food. Though I believe surface food might have some. So if any find it is way into the Underground do be careful."
Gaster scratched his cheek as he finished reading over all of the papers. "These papers are for school facility to read and know. So, if anything happens they have helpful information for emergencies."
"How does school work?" Dream looked up at Gaster. Confused on how or what school is. Gaster chuckled softly and watched the young skeletons curiosity.
"That is right. You are from a time period where school was not a thing. Well you see school is a place where you go to learn. There are some topics that are in my opinion pointless while other topics are much more useful."
"But if their useless in your opinion then why would they teach those things?" Dream stared at him in confusion.
"Honestly I believe that they mostly do so, so children can see what they are interested in. For example, if someone is good at math and heavy lifting then they might be intrested in building houses and other buildings. While the cooking classes your given not only teaches you the basics in cooking but allows others to see if they wish to be a chief."
