The day had gone slow. Glancing up at the clock Maya huffed a little. The hyena lightly tapping a claw on the paper from the book she had been reading. Ear flicking as she tried to think of a way to figure out a way to pass the time for school to let out.
Glancing over at Nightmare. A small idea went through her mind. A quiet chuckle leaving her. Taking a piece of blank paper from her notebook, she took a moment to rip off a piece and made it into a paper ball. Closing her left eye and carefully taking aim. Before flicking the little paper ball in his direction. Aiming for the arm. Making a face as it missed. She then took another piece of paper and made another paper ball to take aim with once again.
It was a normal school day just like any other day. Outside the building its cold like any other day in the snow filled area of the underground. Inside the school building its warm. All the teachers are happy and ready to help any student who's having problems.
Lunch was great. It was make your own taco day. They also had a make your own nacho table too. She had seen Dream grab himself a large bowl of nachos with extra cheese. Making her wonder if the yellow skeleton liked the slightly hot spicy kick the nacho cheese gave. Especially since especially sauce had jalapenos in it.
Though they were in their last class of the day. They were in Mr. Beta's room for their reading and writting classes (I would say English but Monsters have their own language). He had to step out to go and grab some medicine for a headache he's having. Shes noticed that hes been having more and more as of late. No, one can tell why though.
They only have 30 minutes left. So, before Mr. Beta left he said the last 30 minutes will be silent reading time. That or anyone can use the time to work on homework. Since she was bored she though she could try and get Nightmare's attention. After all the two of them did have a math assignment in Mr. Basili's class.
Their math teacher deciced to make the homework partner work. Nightmare is really smart. So, many the two of them could spend this time to work on their Maya and just get it done and over with? She grinned once the paper ball made contact with his arm.
Nightmare blinked and looked around. Confused by whatever snapped him out of his little reading world. Glancing down at the floor and taking notice of the paper ball. Picking it up and unrolling it. Staring at the page as there was nothing written down. So, he glanced around till his eye lights landed on her.
She waved a little. The hyena monster quietly giggling. She was about to sign if they should do their math now or wait till later. But before she could start signing thats when something caught her eye. Something odd was happening under Nightmare's seat. The shadow under him, the desk, and chair wasn't right. She didn't know how to describe it in words. So, she motioned a pawn down at the shadow while looking back up at him.
Nightmare blinked and tilted his skull for a moment. Then glanced down. A shocked expression forming on his face as he saw what she was motioning towards he then got up and went off to get some water.
As Nightmare stood up and walked off. Maya watched the shadows. Watching as the moving shadow slowly turned back to normal and stilled. She blinked in surprise. Wondering what was happening to the shadows that were under Night. Glancing up slowly following Nightmare with her eyes as he walked back to his sat.
She didn't say or question anything... for now. That didn't stop her from making a mental note about what happened. Along with mentally deciding to snag Nightmare away once school was over. Bringing him their their hangout spot in Waterfall once the last bell finally decides to ring. She wanted to see if Nightmare would tell her what happened. Or if he at least knows what's happening.
