KJuaUhsus i have been making an entire fucking fanfiction based off a dream i had last night - wanna drop off a major idea coz don't feel like cutting it up to fit the message board's limits and docs isn't working rn </3

k, so basically the man and iida live up high in the mountains. there's no electricity, no running water, no internet, nothing modern. need to clean your clothes? get a bar of soap and tough out how cold the river's waters can get. cook food? the man has no qualms with letting the boy use his sentient flames to cook. the flames actually like him -- and they never liked anyone else but the man before the boy came along.

they're absolute hermits, disconnected from the rest of society. which is perfect for the league of villians.

coz, ya know - lot more privacy than a shitty bar could bring. and also because the man is very, very powerful, and the lov needs to have him on their side.

toga likes to bother the boy a lot during the meetings, following after him and rambling about her newest crushes as the boy makes tea for the guests, or reads as he waits for the league of villians to leave. usually toga and the boy sit in the corner of the room while the meeting goes on -- toga because she doesn't really care for this boring stuff, and the boy because he doesn't want to leave the man with these h o o l i g a n s; but one day the man ushers out them both, saying today's meeting isn't meant for them.

so what does toga do? she watches videos and reads news articles she has saved on her phone. now, toga has grown on the boy at this point, he's almost able to tolerate her presence for most of the visits. he has no qualms with looking over her shoulder to see what she's looking at -- even with his small hatred of electronic devices, its fascinating (even if the man doesn't think so) -- its very surprising to see a video of *him*, decked out in a suit, and fighting some wannabe villians the man says not to worry about, heroic looking people laughing and fighting with him. toga hasn't noticed the boy watching, too engrossed in the video to see him.

the man has many rules for the league of villians. one of those rules is not to let the boy know who he used to be.

fun fact; they're sitting in front of the closed door, their backs turned to the entrance. so its not very hard for the man to step out and see what they're looking at.

the man places a hand on both of their shoulders, leans in and quietly asks, "what the hell are you two watching?". even toga freezes, and the boy shrinks into himself -- the man is disappointed and he hates making the man feel that way -- toga automatically turns off her phone and jumps when she notices the boy is right next to her. she tries to say she didn't know he was right next to her, she swears!

but the man says the league of villians has overstayed their welcome and its time to leave now, lest he has to show them the door himself. he was supposed to be checking on toga and the boy -- the meeting was barely halfway through.

toga bolts to the rest of the lov as fast as she can, and the group teleports away, most of them almost borderline yelling at her for fucking up like this oHmYgOd-

meanwhile the boy is slightly terrified as the man slumps down to the ground and gestures that the boy should sit down in front of him. he's tired from the meeting, and honestly, the man just wants to sleep all of this away.

he frowns as the boy sits, rigid and tense.

"relax," he says wearily, "you're going to hurt your back like that, staying so tense all the time."

the boy nods, forcing his shoulders to relax as he plays with the edge of his shirt and tilts his head in question.

the man pulls out a phone, glowering at the screen as he powers it on and pulls up dozens of hundreds of articles revolving around one iida tenya. he sighs and hands it to the boy, watches as the boy's eyes widen at seeing someone so alike but so different at the same time.

"you used to be a hero. but i purified you with my flames. i made you something better, helped you shed yourself of that disgraceful title."

the boy is horrified -- he wouldn't - couldn't be a hero. but the man is absolutely serious, pinning him with a stare so heavy the boy's heart shatters as this knowledge settles in. he -- the boy, who had promised to never even want to be a hero -- used to be the very same thing he swore against.

"this,,, this is the past i must rid myself of,,,?" he whispers.

the man nods, saying the boy was luckily only a hero in training -- he was not completely corrupted. he does not need to work as hard to push away the past as full fledged heroes must do.

the boy sighs in relief -- this is good! he was saved, and that is all that matters.

the man groans and stands up, winces as his back pops. he waves down the boy as he tries to stand up as well, says he should look through the articles. not too many-- the light will hurt his eyes if he looks for too long.

"i'm going to bed," he yawns, "g'night, (insert name i cannot think of but hinode might work, tho i'm not very sure please help i'm not japenese and don't want to accidentally offend someone -)"

the boy looks up in shock as the man plods off as if nothing had happened. he - he had earned his name. he was finally given such an honour, and the man acts as if it was nothing??? tf???

so yEee - theres a lot more to this idea -- like how iida becomes a villian -- but i don't want to be annoying and bother people with my stupid rambles sm jrhfbdkdjd
