"This is Darth Toth, this is Darth Ra Tak and I'm Darth Letho. We have been Sith acolytes during the time of Darth Gean. Darth Gean was heavily injured and handicapped after the final fight for leadership of the Sith with her master Darth Gravid. She would not have been able to sustain a serious fight after that anymore. In order to save the Sith order, she broke the rule of 2 and trained 5 apprentices. Those 5 apprentices would not have to kill her in order to become Lord of the Sith, but instead had to fight against each other, once Darth Gean called for the last challenge. So she trained us, until she believed she had passed all her knowledge on to us, then calling for the last challenge. We were 3 of the 5. As we 3 became close friends, we did not wanted to enter the last challenge and kill each other. One of the other two however, did not wanted to enter the last challenge as well, because he deemed himself second best. He wanted to lure us into a trap. He proposed to meet for the last challenge, but instead of fighting against each other, we should all enter separate spacecraft and each go our own way. Secretively, however, he told Darth Gean, that the other 4 were plotting against her. So the 5 of us met the next morning. There Darth Gean, took revenge for that "rebellion" as she called it, and shot at us from her space ship. Luckily, she shot at another first. It gave us time to start running to our spacecraft. Still she hit us, when we took our seats in the cockpit. Our ship was destroyed, two of us heavily injured. The last of us, however managed to shoot her down. Our ship was destroyed, Darth Dean's ship was destroyed, but two more were still sitting on the field. Of one of the two, the pilot was dead and we wanted to take that spaceship. The one who had betrayed us, wanted to see us dead tough. It would render him the last remaining Sith. It was the whole reason for his betrayal. Still, we managed to enter the other ship and escaped, but we were all injured, two very badly. We believed, that coming to this temple would preserve our lives. When we came here, we believed, that the power of the temple would restore our bodies. Back then, it was a myth about this temple that it could restore an injured Sith, but that did not happen. The dark side can only destroy, it cannot heal. So our deadly wounded bodies did not get healed, which means, we kind of died here in the temple. However, we are not fully dead. After having arrived here in the temple and seeing that our bodies did not improve and we would eventually die of our injuries, the dark side revealed the existence of stasis chambers or rather sarcophaguses within the temple. In those we preserved our bodies, so we are in a state between live and death. Our spirits roam around the temple, while our bodies lay in the stasis sarcophaguses. The dark side of the force is strong in here and at first the dark side called us more powerful than ever before, eventually consuming us completely. We were full of rage, hatred and desire for power. After a long time, gradually, we came to realize, that all the promises of the dark side, the promise for power and ruler ship and so forth came in a bargain. A bargain where the dark side draws the longer stick. The dark side keeps its options open, always. If it's a promise, then it gives you a certain positive perspective, yet the dark side keeps its options open as well. The dark side does not commit in a way, where it remains with duties it does not want to perform. The dark side is a trickster, but it fulfils its part of the deal. Yet, it is wise enough not to get itself into an uncomfortable position. After all, it existed long enough to be smart about the deals it carves."
Ahsoka interrupted: "Ah, yes. It promised me to make me the master of the Galaxy."
Darth Letho: "Well did it promise you to make you master of the Galaxy, empress or A master of the Galaxy?"
Thinking about it, Ahsoka replied: "Now that you say it, I guess it was A master of the Galaxy."
Darth Letho: "Well, A master of the Galaxy can mean many things. So you have to be careful, but likewise with the promises of the light side, they can easily be misunderstood, misinterpreted. But let me continue with our story. We came to realize, that we are trapped in those sarcophaguses and even if somebody will open them we will just die. Gradually, over the centuries, we came to a more balanced understanding and then to the understanding, that the calling of the light and the dark side of the force is merely a temptation, an illusion. We came to the understanding, that there is a source with a will and that is truth. The force merely evaporates from the source. The calling of the light and the dark side of the force is what is within us and to a certain extend the collective consciousness of all sentient beings. I'm talking about the calling here, not the light or the dark side itself. The temptation of either side of the force can be ruled out, by seeing it as a temptation and rather listening for the will of the source. Then fulfilling the bidding of the source one will use both the light and the dark side of the force according to its usefulness in doing the bidding. At some point there, our sprits became able to move around the temples premises, still being attached to our bodies. We have been trained in the use of the dark side, our knowledge of the light side only comes from revelation. As such we are still strong users of the dark side, however our purpose is not so selfish anymore, we can say, at least we consider the biddings of the source. A long time ago, we got aware that we are trapped in here, nowhere we can go, we are prisoners in a Sith temple. The question was then how to get out? The source revealed to us, that a ONE would be born, a balancer, a mediator, one who would bring balance to the force, rather doing the bidding of the source. That ONE would need aid, he cannot do everything by himself and his path needs to be paved. A long time after that, it revealed to us: a woman would come to this temple who would pave part of his path, part of the path for the ONE. That woman is neither Jedi nor Sith, but strong in the force and was trained as a Jedi. That woman would be a balancer, a mediator in her own way, foremost however paving the path for another stronger ONE. Our task would be to train her in the way of the Sith but at the same instance lead her to a balanced use of the force. Once the source is satisfied with her state of training, she will leave the temple and perform her task. Once she can leave the temple, she can retrieve certain special crystals and bring them back to the temple. These will bring our bodies back to life again which will also enable us 3 to leave the temple again. Then the 4 of us can go to the Jedi temple and turn those crystals into high power life aiders. Those high power life aiders would give all 4 of use a very long life. Many questions we had then, and for the last decades we prepared for your arrival and training. Then a couple of weeks ago, your name and appearance was revealed to us - Ahsoka. Anxiously, we were awaiting you and now we are very happy. Again welcome here, Ahsoka."
