At the same time in the Phantom.

When Vader had gotten engaged by Ahsoka, Kanan had dragged Esra into the Phantom and left. Esra wanted to stay and help Ahsoka, but Kanan was hell scared by Vader. He had to admit that the little boy had a lot more courage than he did. Darth Maul had been so strong already and Vader was a much different league. He feared, he feared a lot and he wanted to get away from him and not return. Esra insisted that they'd go back to get Ahsoka, but Kanan invented all kinds of reasons not too. Eventually he sat down and meditated, but he could not sense Ahsoka via the force. Wearily he informed Esra: "I cannot sense her, maybe she is dead. There is no use to return to the temple, we will just get ourselves into danger." Esra was devastated. What Kanan guessed, but Esra did not know: the temple worked like a shield, shielding and disguising what is inside.

In the temple.

Ahsoka had waited for her friends to return for hours, but they had not. For whatever reason they did not come back for her, did not matter at the end of the day. She was locked up in here and she was porched and grew more and more weary. She felt those presences and the dark side. She turned on her light sabers, not only to defend herself, but also to see a little bit. Haphazardly, meandering around the temple she just got lost. Not so much, because the temple was so complicated to navigate, but because she was exhausted and the sabers just threw enough light to make the next step. She felt those presences again and suddenly she could see 3 pairs of dark red eyes.

Now she was called again: "Ahsoka", "Hello Ahsoka", "We have been waiting for you". "Welcome in our home", in three different flavors.

This time it was not the dark side of the force, she guessed, it was those presences to whom those eyes might belong too. The communication was not with words either, it was on a thought level or maybe telepathy.

"Long, we have been waiting for you", "And now at last you are here", "Fulfilling the destiny".

Ahsoka cried out: "My destiny is not with the dark side."

"It is. It is with us."

"NO, NO, NO", Ahsoka cried and struck with the light sabers so to hit whatever body was behind those red eyes.

Each of her two light sabers went right through the middle of two of the three. However, it felt like they did nothing, going through thin air only. She felt laughter from the presences – Ahsoka struck again – again laughter – Ahsoka let her light sabers swirl through the air, trying to destroy the bodies behind these eyes, but the dark laughter remained. After a little while she was terribly exhausted. As the shock wave also had injured her body, it was aching all over. She was not in good shape for another fight, in fact she was soon dying of thirst. At least it felt that way, but she was definitely terribly dehydrated.

The 3 pairs of eyes were closing up on here again: "Ahsoka, you are our apprentice now. We are your masters."

"Never", Ahsoka took all her strength together to make a last couple of strikes.

"Your light sabers cannot destroy, that which is not from flesh and blood."

Ahsoka gave up and set down, turning her light sabers off, awaiting what might be her last minute. Maybe she would get devoured now. She did not even have strength to sit anymore and just collapsed to the bare ground.

However, nothing really happened, she just felt the merciless hatred the temple was filled with. She was so tired, so parched, so exhausted, she was hungry and her body was aching all over. Now she felt the dark side again, calling her. With the little power left in her, she tried to resist, but eventually her body gave way and she fell asleep or maybe unconscious or maybe even dead.
