The Jedaii Academy

Ahsoka was the first to arrive on Dantooine, then came Darth Letho, shortly after him Mike and Lucky and the 2 other Siths needed a couple of hours more.

During the time in hyperspace, Mike researched what they had encountered in the sewers. Apparently it was a sewer python, a very dangerous snake, known to devour almost anything, including men. It had fully adapted to the darkness of the sewers, with very sensitive smell and vibration sensory, excellent IR reception and immune to the toxins of the sewers. There seems to be no size limitation for those pythons and they eventually grow so large, that they cannot move within the sewers anymore, get trapped and slowly starve. Still they can slow their biorythm down and survive for month or years with little or no food. They are a big problem, because they notoriously block the sewers and are very difficult to remove.

In the oncoming months on Dantooine, they all were very busy with the planning and organization to get the buildings for the Jedaii Academy erected. Ahsoka visited building companies then reviewed their plans and suggestions with the others, eventually giving an order to build the academy to one company.

They built several smaller houses with sleeping rooms, dorms and bathrooms, a larger training hall, a class room, a large main house with kitchen, meditation rooms and common rooms, also a small house for a workshop. All houses were built in local farm house stile and blended in nicely with the landscape. Ahsoka gave a couple of local farmers the order to erect sheds which served as hangars for the space ships. The hangars laid further back, within a forest, thus they were hidden.

Ahsoka also started training her new acolyte Luci. She was pretty strong in the force, but she was a coward. Ahsoka eventually grew indignant with her, until Mike urged her to stop training her as a fighter. He suggested to train her as a sorceress and it turned out to be the right thing for Luci.

Now all that was missing for a true academy, were students. Ahsoka, decided, that they would not rip the students out of their families at a young age (like it was with her), but rather let them stay with their families until they were ready to be in a boarding school. The Jedaii Academy would also not stop their students from having contact to their families, but rather encourage it. However, they were all clear, that it could be difficult for the students to visit their families, because transport might be an issue.

They meditated so to find suitable students and after a while, they had 12 talented, force sensitive students of whom 2 were orphans. Women from the surrounding farms brought food, cooked and cleaned for them. After some time a couple of farm women approached Ahsoka, if they could also bring their own children to school here, because otherwise they would not get any school education at all. Ahsoka was not fond of training non force sensitive children as well, but good-heartedly as she was, gave in for a trial. It turned out very well, the academy put a bit more emphasis on general education and being with "normal children" provided for better character building of the force sensitive pupils. Darth Ra Tak, Toth and Letho and foremost Luci turned out to be good teachers. Eventually though Ahsoka also got normal teachers for the profane subjects, just to not put too much burden on the Siths. In the meantime they had about 30 pupils from the surrounding farms, which would only be at school until noon, not staying at the boarding school, plus the 12 force sensitive students in the boarding school. Amazingly, it turned out, that the non force sensitive pupils all developed some force sensitivity over time. Mostly very mild, sometimes close to none, sometimes more though.

Running the academy was not easy for Ahsoka, the 3 Siths, Luci, Mike and Lucky, but it made them happy. They had to deal with the simple daily problems and they were often enough more difficult than killing a bunch of storm troopers. But they were doing constructive work (not destructive as they used to do) and they all liked it.
