Akaashi looked up from his desk, smelling something completely off. In his doorway Yamaguchi stood, shaking. Akaashi hurriedly got out of his own chair and wrapped Yamaguchi in a hug.
"T-they… they're…"
"Shhhh." Akaashi rubbed Yamaguchi's back. He eased him to the couch and held him. Yamaguchi just cried and cried against him, overwhelmed.
"T-Tsuki doesn't know… I… and… and Suga isn't h-here…"
Akaashi gave him a light squeeze. "I'm here. It's going to be okay."
"What do… do I do?"
"Take a deep breath." He leaned back into the couch. "Just relax for me, okay?"
"It really hurts…" Yamaguchi whined.
"I know." Akaashi got up slowly and opened a bin next to his desk, pulling out a blanket. "Lay down, okay? I'll be right back."
Akaashi gave Yamaguchi the blanket and left his office, going to Bokuto's. Bokuto looked up and smiled. "Hey hey hey! You came to see me again!"
Akaashi sighed. "Koutarou."
"You're giving me the look from that time… Keiji what's wrong?"
"Yamaguchi is in my office." He whispered.
Bokuto got up and followed his mate to the crying boy. Bokuto leaned down. "Hey there…"
Yamaguchi looked up. "B-bokuto?"
"That's me. I just thought you might need a hug." He put an arm up. "Only if you want." Yamaguchi sat up and Bokuto hugged him. "It'll be okay, I promise. You hurt right now?"
"Just my stomach."
Bokuto nodded.
"Tsuki's going to be so mad at me…"
Bokuto furrowed his brows. "Why would he be mad at you for this?"
"B-because… because I wanted a baby so bad my mind tricked my body into showing the symptoms. Plus the test showed positive." He started trembling again. "H-he got excited but… but it was... It was a f-false… one… he's going to be so mad at me…"
Akaashi immediately bent down and took Yamaguchi from Bokuto and held him tightly. "No. This isn't your fault in the least. If Tsukishima gets mad at you he doesn't deserve you."
"W-we can't try anymore. That's why too."
"Hm?"
Yamaguchi sniffed. "I… I can't have… kids. I'm practically infertile…"
Akaashi sat on the couch and pulled Yamaguchi to himself. He rubbed his back, letting out a calming scent. "You need to rest, okay? Just lay here against me and go ahead and take a nap."
"You sure?"
"Of course I am." Akaashi ran a hand through Yamaguchi's hair. "It's okay."
Bokuto stood there watching. "Do you need anything?"
Akaashi nodded. He lowered his voice. "Can you get me a bottle of water? He cried a lot and it kind of dehydrates people…"
Bokuto nodded and got one from Akaashi's bag. He gave it to him.
Akaashi thanked him and set it down, returning to rubbing Yamaguchi's back and hair. It kept the younger boy calm. Soon Yamaguchi fell asleep, relaxed on Akaashi's chest.
Akaashi just held him, worried sick for him.
He reminded him of his self just a few months beforehand. "Koutarou?"
