Akaashi sat up in bed, groaning. Bokuto shifted next to him, hearing the crying as well. "I'll go get her."
"You sure?"
"Mhmm." Bokuto got up and took Emiko out of her bassinet. "Hey there little one... what's wrong?"
Akaashi started to get up to help but Bokuto just laid down and put her on his chest.
"She might be hungry. It's about time for that."
"Alrighty." He gave Emiko over to him and hummed. "You seem really tired..."
"It's only been a month Koutarou. I'm not that tired."
Bokuto sat up and held Akaashi's cheek. "I dunno... you have really bad eye bags..."
"I'm okay." He smiled. Akaashi eased his shirt down and let Emiko feed. He took a deep breath. "Okay then..."
"What is it?"
"I'm a little sore from the constant feeding." He looked down and switched Emiko to his other side. Emiko calmed down after being fed and held, soon falling asleep in Akaashi's arms. Akaashi silently gave her to Bokuto and he put her in her bassinet.
Bokuto crawled back into bed and snuggled close to Akaashi "Keiji?"
"Hm?"
"Are you sure that you're okay?"
"Mhmm."
Bokuto rubbed his back. "Your scent changed."
"Really?"
"Yep. I didn't know that you were able to have your scent change from the normal one to what yours is now."
"Mm." Akaashi yawned. He burrowed into Bokuto's chest and fell asleep.

Bokuto picked up his bag, sighing. Being away from Akaashi and Emiko made him a little nervous. Not to mention that Akaashi's scent had stopped being his normal one of vanilla and warm cothes. He smelled like something like salt water. Bokuto didn't like it at all but he didn't push Akaashi away.
Bokuto headed off to a certain desk he was going to need to visit. "Hey, hey, hey."
Sugawara turned. "Hey! How are you doing?"
"Good. Kinda. Um... I need a little help." He reached into his bag and pulled out a t-shirt. "Smell of that."
Suga eyed the cloth before leaning forward and sniffing. "Mm. That's Akaashi's."
"Yep. So is this one but it's different." He pulled another shirt out.
Suga sniffed and cringed. "Woah that's different."
"Yeah... why?"
"Hm... usually when I get too tired my scent changes a lot. Has Akaashi been taking breaks?"
Bokuto shifted, still nervous. "I told him to a few times but he won't do it."
Sugawara got up, taking out his phone. "Hang on." He held the phone to his ear and kept gathering things. "Heyyy. I'm gonna be a little late, okay? I'll pick up some food on the way home. The little ones have bottles ready and if not I'll deal with it when I get there."
Bokuto tilted his head, confused.
"Okay. Love you too."
"What are you doing?"
"I'm coming over and talking to your stubborn mate." Sugawara smiled. "We're not going to just let him burnout."
"Yeah..."
"Let's go then you ding dong. I've got kids too."
"Right!"

Bokuto opened the door to his house slowly, trying to be quiet. Akaashi was at the kitchen table, Emiko in one arm and the other moving a mouse around, eyes stuck on his lap top. "Kashi... hey..."
Akaashi looked up. "Hm?"
Suga walked past Bokuto into the house. "What're you doing?"
"Oh. Just some filing and things like that." He yawned. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to help out a little."
"With?"
"Emiko. Sleep."
Bokuto leaned down and picked up his daughter. "Trust me, you need this."
Akaashi reached for Emiko. "Wait, she still needs to be fed."
"No, no there's a bottle ready for her. When you called earlier you mentioned it." Bokuto got the bottle and heated it up for her before sitting in the living room with her, rocking her.
Sugawara sighed. "You need more sleep. ASAP."
"What? I feel fine." Akaashi turned his computer. "I'm able to work a lot with no issue while watching her."
Sugawara peered at the screen. "You spelled your name wrong."
"I did?"
"Yep. Let's go ahead and get you something to eat." He closed Akaashi's lap top and headed to the stove. "How can you just ignore being tired?"
"I'm not."
"No, no you are. Those eye bags are huge. You spelled your name wrong. Plus you've yawned twice already. Not to mention your scent."
"What's wrong with my scent?"
"You smell like salt water." Suga pulled a box out of the cabinet. "This works."
Akaashi looked into the living room and saw Bokuto smiling down at Emiko. His chest tightened. Was he not being a good enough father? He was trying his hardest to be loving and keep Emiko happy. If he wasn't even taken care of himself then how was he supposed to take care of his daughter?
"Hey, do you-" Sugawara paused, seeing Akaashi crying quietly at the table. He hurried to him and took him in a hug. "Woah, woah what's wrong?"
"I-I m tired... exhausted actually. Emiko has to be held all the time or she gets fussy. I love her with everything I have, it's just a little hard to hold her all the time and I can't sleep at night because she needs to be fed." Akaashi hiccuped. "I don't know if I'm doing this right..."
"Keiji? Hey, hey, hey." Bokuto gave Emiko to Sugawara. "Sweetheart look at me."
Akaashi looked up, shaking slightly.
"Oh... Keiji you're doing a good job. Trust me, you are." He wrapped his arms around him and kissed his hair and tried his best to calm him down. "You just need a little break or an extremely long night of sleeping."
"Y-yeah but Emiko..."
"I'll deal with that."
"Who would watch her? We don't have a baby sitter right now."
"Yamaguchi and Tsukishima need some practice." Sugawara suggested.
"Yeah, good idea." Bokuto mumbled. He hummed quietly. "I'll finish up making whatever is on the stove and then I'll put Emiko in her little crib thing while you sleep. It'll be next to our bed so I can get her and calm her down without getting up so you can sleep. It's okay."
"It's called a bassinet." Akaashi mumbled into Bokuto's neck. He took a deep breath. Cherries and birtday cake. Just like always. He hummed. "And thank you. I really need that."
"No problem at all." Bokuto kissed his forehead. "I'll be back." He went to the stove.
Sugawara giggled. He looked down at the little girl in his arms. "I'm sorry but Emiko is literally the cutest little thing. She looks just like my little Mei besides her eyes."
Akaashi smiled. "Yeah, she is cute." He took Emiko gently and smiled down at her. "Hey there."
Emiko made a cooing sound, reaching up.
"Shhhh." Akaashi lifted her up and let her pat his face. It didn't really hurt. It just meant she was there.
