Bokuto sat up, confused. "Keiji? Sweetheart where'd you go…"
Akaashi threw a hairbrush out of the bathroom.
"Ooh. Hang on." Bokuto got up and put on a pair of pants, going into the bathroom. "Hey… you okay in here?"
Akaashi spit into the toilet. "No."
Bokuto leaned down and kissed his forehead. "Let's get you to bed, okay?"
"Change the soap for the sink." Akaashi mumbled.
"Huh?"
"The smell made me nauseous. I was already so…" Akaashi leaned over the toilet and started puking again. Bokuto threw away the soap and got out another one under the sink.
"Here we go. This is scent free. It should work."
"Thanks." Akaashi wheezed, coughing. He flushed the toilet.
"I really think you need to tell the doctor about how much you throw up in the morning. We've tried what worked and didn't work for Emmy and you aren't getting better."
"I-I'm okay." Akaashi sat up and took a deep breath. "It'll pass."
"But right now it sucks."
Akaashi nodded. "A little." He got up, shaky as he went to the sink to rinse out his mouth and wash his hands.
Bokuto sniffed of his neck. "You're tired."
"No… It's okay…" Akaashi looked back. "It's just that I woke up so early, that's all."
"You smell like saltwater."
"Oh…"
"Yeah when you carried Emmy you smelled like lemons. This time it's watermelon. Now salt water."
Akaashi nodded. "I need to go back to bed then I guess." He went into his room and snuggled into the blankets. Bokuto took a deep breath and went into his room. "Ko?"
"Mm?"
"Can Emiko sleep with us? Please?" Akaashi mumbled.
"Huh? Why?"
"I don't know… children make me feel better… and well…"
"That's so cute… of course." Bokuto got Emiko from her room and carried her very carefully back into his own room and laid down.
Akaashi got closer and took her, putting her on his chest and tilting into Bokuto, falling asleep.
"Ah fuck. My arm is asleep." Akaashi whined as Bokuto moved and got comfortable. "Oh hush."
Akaashi whined again and huffed. Emiko hummed.
"You guys talking to each other in your sleep?" He chuckled. "I knew you did but Emmy doesn't… I hope. Oh God two year olds talking in their sleep sounds so scary."
"Shhhh."
"Yes sir." Bokuto kissed his forehead. "I love you, you weirdo."
****
Bokuto pulled Akaashi up out of bed, trying to get him to get up. Akaashi whined loudly at him, swatting him away. He was so tired and didn't want to get up.
"We have work!"
"I'm pregnant!"
"I know! But we have work!"
Akaashi yelled. Just a loud screech like sound. Bokuto stopped for a moment.
"Pfft."
Akaashi took a few deep breaths before laughing. "That was so dumb."
"You gonna get up?"
"Nope."
Bokuto let go of him and Akaashi laid down. "Thanks for this."
"I'll be back with the spray bottle in fifteen minutes."
"Gaaaaaaah."
Bokuto chuckled. He went to Emiko, who was laying out on her play mat, feeling of the floor. He paused and then picked her up. "Emmy."
"Daddy!"
"Go wake Mama up. Do you remember the way to Mama's room?"
Bokuto set her down. Emiko stood there for a moment before toddling towards the coffee table. She found it and then found the couch and managed to walk over to the wall where the front door was.
Bokuto turned her. "Go straight."
Emiko hurried down the hall.
"Stop!"
Emiko stopped and giggled.
Bokuto hurried to turn her again and opened his room door. "Okay go get Mama!"
Emiko hurried into the room. She found the bed and pulled on it. Bokuto tossed her on the bed lightly. Emiko found Akaashi again and screeched.
Akaashi startled out of being asleep. "Hm? What's wrong princess?" Akaashi sat up and pulled her to his chest.
Bokuto huffed. "Jerk. Now you have to get up."
Akaashi blinked. He laid back down. "Hey Emiko do you wanna lay with Mama?"
"Yeah!"
"GAH!" Bokuto got on the bed and pulled Akaashi up again. "Come on. I'm gonna make you pancakes, okay?"
"No I'll end up throwing that up too."
"Not if you take your medicine."
Akaashi wiggled out of his grip and laid down. Emiko got upset somewhat, wanting attention.
"Ah. Emmy." Emiko went quiet. Bokuto put her on the floor. "Find your way to the living room. Like a challenge."
Emiko stumbled away, wanting to find her way to the living room.
Bokuto got on the bed and laid over Akaashi, keeping his weight off of him. He gently ran his fingers through Akaashi's hair. "Keiji… come on sweetheart…"
Akaashi sighed.
"I know you're sleepy but we really need to get ready. No one knows that you're pregnant either so I can't say you had bad morning sickness and couldn't come in... But can you please try?"
"I really don't feel good…"
"I know." Bokuto kissed his cheek. He pressed a few kisses all over Akaashi's face gently. He was being very gentle and made sure it wasn't making him annoyed. He even whispered, just in case. "Keiji."
"Mm?"
"You can stay in my office. And you can curl up on my lap and take naps." He kissed his forehead. "Okay?"
"Mkay…" Akaashi let Bokuto ease him up and hold him for a second. "I love you…"
Bokuto smiled. "I love you too."
Akaashi got up and was a little slower with getting changed, putting a hand on his stomach worriedly and staring at himself in the mirror. Bokuto turned and saw this.
"Hey, hey, hey. Look over here."
Akaashi looked over.
Bokuto picked up a sheet and walked over. He lifted it up and put it over the mirror. "There we go."
Akaashi smiled. He put Bokuto's hand on his stomach. "Seven weeks."
"You have a teeny tiny bump." Bokuto teased.
"Mhmm. I'm just worried."
"Why?"
"Well the first time… I threw up like this."
Bokuto took a deep breath. "I don't think… that's gonna happen."
Akaashi sighed. "Okay…"
Bokuto leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to his stomach. "Mwah! Magic kiss! Baby stays! Now get your shirt on and let's gooooo."
I need some night time water. Some good stuff.
