After Clint was finished poking Zoe's head and asking her where it hurt, he looked down at the ground sheepishly.
"I- um- you have to- I have to check for any bruises anywhere else" he finally squeeked out. She looked at him for a moment with a confused line forming between her brows before realizing what he meant.
"Oh!" She said before laughing "yeah that's fine!" She readjusted herself on the cot and lifted up her shirt on the side she'd landed on in the slammer.
Clint blushed as he checked to make sure there was nothing serious.
"OHMYGOSH I'M SO SORRY"
Clint and Zoe's heads snapped up to the now open door to see a violently blushing Chuck standing there with his hands covering his eyes.
Zoe dropped her shirt and chuckled "It's fine Chuck, no harm no foul."
He stood there and nodded.
"You- you can stop covering your eyes now" Clint added seeing as the small boy was still blinding himself with his hands.
Chuck slowly let his hands drop back down to his sides, blushing all over again.
"What's up?" Zoe asked figuring that he'd come in for a reason other than to accidentally walk in on her.
"Alby said if you want the tour you'd better hurry up."
"Alright, I'll be there in just a second"
With that Chuck quickly left. Clint turned to Zoe and her gaze met his before they unfolded into bouts of laughter. Once they had finally calmed down and wiped the tears from their cheeks from laughing so hard, Clint looked back at her.
"You'd better go, I know you have a lotta questions, and Alby's a pretty busy guy."
"Alright Clint, thank you." She said standing up and walking toward the door.
"Anytime."
She left the room, walking down the stairs and out of the homestead, realizing that she had no idea where Alby was. Before she could think twice about trying to find him, he called out to her.
"Greenie! Over here!"
She looked to her left, Alby was walking toward her rather quickly.
"You ready for the tour?"
"As I'll ever be I suppose"
"Good that" he remarked, and immediately started pointing things out.
"That's the homestead and medjack hut" he said pointing right behind her "Those are the deadheads" he said pointing to a forest just to the left of the opening in the large cement walls. He started walking, and she quickly followed suit. "On the edge of the deadheads is the kitchen" he explained, pointing to a building which was situated right on the edge of the woods, a little smaller than the homestead. "Then we have the slammer, which I'm sure your already very familiar with, the watchtower," he said pointing to the tall structure next to the slammer "over there is the meeting hall" he said, pointing to the corner on the right side of the opening in the wall. "Then we have the showers" he said, pointing at a building situated close to the kitchen. "Over there are the gardens, and lastly, the bloodhouse."
The tour was extremely quick, and the buildings were all fairly easy to remember, considering there was so few of them.
Alby led her over to the watch tower and they climbed up, so that they overlooked the whole glade. Although it seemed that they were trapped there, Zoe thought it was quite beautiful.
"Then there's the jobs, we've got the slicers, track-hoes, builders, medjacks, cooks, baggers, runners, and sloppers.
She looked at him waiting for him to continue.
