"Junbi!" Johnny yelled out, causing everyone to stand back in their regular stances. "Bow." he instructed, and everyone did so.
"Fighting positions." he commanded. Everyone followed. Maddie snuck a glance at Hawk who was to her left, and he gave her a wink, causing a blush to creep up on her cheeks.
She loved that Eli had this new self confidence in him. She had a crush on him before, but now it was really getting elevated.
It was a new day, and Maddie dawned her Cobra Kai gi. She had to admit, as much as she liked her's, she still preferred her Myagi-Do one.
Johnny walked by the two of them, looking at Maddie's stance and nodding in approval. He then looked over at Hawk and kicked his foot forward.
"Stabilize your base, Hawk. Keep your balance. Full rotation when you strike." Johnny corrected.
"Yes, sensei. Hai!" he used his new base to punch, and saw improvement in his power. When Johnny turned to the kid who was right behind Maddie, however, he flinched.
"Did you just flinch, virgin?" he questioned. The boy didn't answer him as he bluffed coming at the student behind him. That student flinched as well.
"Holy shit. We got a room full of flinchers." Johnny said, in disbelief.
"Yes, sensei." everyone called.
"That was not a question." he shouted back at his students. Maddie turned to look at him, curious about what he was going to do next.
"Raise your hand if you've never been punched in the face." a majority of students put their hands up, with the exceptions being Miguel, Aisha, and Maddie.
Maddie had been punched many times when going up against both Daniel and Sam when he was training them at Myagi-Do.
"Put your hands down. All your lives, you've been avoiding fights so you don't break your nose or lose a tooth. This concussion nonsense. So, there's only one solution, and that is before you leave this dojo, each and every one of you is gonna take a punch, very hard, to the face. Miss Robinson, line 'em up. Unflinch this group." Johnny spoke.
"Yes, sensei." she nodded, before going over to the boy behind Maddie and starting with him.
"Miss Williams, you're exempt, you're no flincher." was all Johnny said before walking into his office. Maddie just shrugged, leaning against the wall and taking out her phone.
While Miguel walked into Johnny's office and started talking to him. Johnny thought it would be about blood, but it turned into talking about girls.
"Well, there's a girl at school..." Miguel trailed.
