Maddie sat in the sand while she watched Demetri, Moon, and Hawk play volleyball. She was really only here because Miguel asked her to come.
Seeing that Hawk brought Moon made her mood x10 worse. She ignored the "subtle" glances Hawk would give her every so often.
She just wanted Miguel to get here and then maybe she could actually enjoy herself. She was currently just sitting there, in her bikini cover up refusing to take it off.
Demetri raised the volleyball and got ready. Moving his head around and getting set, he launched the ball - which promptly hit the net.
"Good try Demetri." Maddie encouraged.
"Uh.. Mulligan, send it back." Demetri called, looking at her.
"There's no mulligans in volleyball." Hawk interrupted, looking between her and Demetri. The blonde rolled her eyes at this and continued to sit there.
"Says you. Water break." Demetri walked off to the side and Maddie handed him his Cobra Kai towel.
"Cobra Kai? You guys won that karate tournament, right?" a girl asked, walking up with her friend, causing Demetri to stop what he was doing and freeze.
"Um... the All Valley? The rumble in Reseda? Yes, uh... we, uh... certainly did." Demetri swung the towel over his shoulder and leaned on the volleyball pole.
Maddie had to stifle her laughter. The fact that he was using Cobra Kai to get a girl's attention was too funny to her. Hawk, however, didn't like it.
"Cool. We're gonna go for a swim, but maybe play with you later?" the girl smiled.
"Pffft.. most def. Uh, that means most definitely." Demetri nodded.
"Look at you, player." Moon giggled, before taking her spot right next to Maddie. Maddie greeted her with a weak smile.
"Yeah, it'd be nice if you earned the Cobra Kai cred you're so happy to take. When are you ever going to sign up?" Hawk bit.
"I don't know. I'm kind of enjoying the gain without the pain." Demetri responded.
"Eli, come on. Let him have his glory." Maddie sighed. Hawk narrowed his eyes.
"Hawk. Maddie." the two turned their heads to see Miguel walked over. Maddie jumped up excitedly before going over and giving him a big hug.
"Hey, there's the man. What's up?" Hawk went over, and the two did their handshake.
Maddie noticed the less than happy expression on Miguel's face and raised her eyebrows in worry.
"No. No more of this. Look, it's a beautiful day out. Beach is packed with babes. No more sulking about Sam." Hawk said.
When Hawk said babes, Miguel's eyes drifted to Maddie and her figure, before quickly turning back to his mohawk friend.
