Maddie walked into the dojo to see Miguel hanging up Aisha's phone in defeat. She raised an eyebrow at him and he just shrugged, putting the phone back.
She guessed that he had probably called Sam from that phone and tried to talk to her, but it didn't work out the way he wanted.
Maddie shrugged as well, before going to change into her karate gi. She wasn't going to lie, it was becoming harder and harder for her to come each day.
Knowing that she had to see Eli, who she was still in love with, hurt her to no end. She didn't owe him an explanation to her and Robby's relationship, though.
That was her and Robby's business. And right now, she missed her friend. She remembered the times they got ice cream after long grueling days of practice.
He was always able to cheer her up even when things were bad. And for a while, she had a pretty huge crush on him. But that was all ancient history.
When Maddie got back out from where she was changing, she saw the two boys she met yesterday standing in front of Aisha, Hawk, and Bert.
"What do you think? Shithead one and shithead two?" she heard Hawk say as she came up and stood sideways to Bert, looking at them all.
"I was thinking more Mary-Kate and Asshat." Aisha suggested. Hawk laughed at this and Maddie just rolled her eyes.
"Well, I'm Chris-" Hawk cut him off.
"Did I say you could speak?" Hawk yelled. Miguel then came over, looking amused, taking a place next to Maddie.
"Eli." Maddie warned, before stepping in front of the two boys. She gave them both a warm smile and greeted them.
"I'm Maddie. Nice to meet you Chris and...?" she trailed looking at the other boy. He looked stunned before responding.
"Mitch." he replied.
"Mitch. Don't let them intimidate you too much." she smiled. Maddie then walked away, leaving all of them stunned.
"Guys, look, they're just messing with you. Besides, everyone knows your names are Assface and Douchebag." Miguel chuckled, before following Maddie over where she was now stretching.
The bell by the door rang, signaling someone had entered, and Maddie looked up, assuming some new students would be walking in, but she was wrong.
Her eyes immediately connected with an older guys, and they both stared at each other. She already got bad vibes from whoever this man was, and shifted her gaze away.
After a few seconds she heard a "Jesus Christ" coming from the man and raised her eyebrows, now a bit freaked out.
She and Miguel walked up to stand behind Aisha and Hawk. Hawk furrowed his eyebrows when he saw the look on the blonde's face.
"Who's that?" Hawk questioned.
"I don't know." Miguel replied.
She then saw Miguel walk over to stand in front of the man. She cringed internally at the interaction that occurred.
