Of course Maddie's parents freaked out and took her to the doctor that same night. She was again correct that it was just a pretty decent twist and that it would only take about a week to heal.

Until then, Maddie's ankle was wrapped up in layers of bandages keeping her ankle in place and was only allowed to wear flip flops, which see didn't mind. As long as they weren't heeled.

What Maddie also saw was the disgusting video Yasmine made of Aisha. The poor girl was portrayed as a pig when clearly it was completely normal for someone to get a snack.

Maddie hadn't ever known Aisha well. Whenever they were around one another they were friendly. The only interactions Maddie had had with Aisha was when they were both invited over to Sam's house.

Not that Maddie didn't like her, she just didn't know enough about the girl to call herself friends with Aisha.

So when she walked into school the next morning, she heard snorting noises whenever Aisha was down the hall from her or walking past her.

Maddie couldn't help but feel bad. But what was really bothering her was that Sam was doing absolutely nothing about this to help her friend.

She puffed her cheeks before heading to study hall, looking to meet up with Demetri, Miguel, and Eli.

As she went through the rows of shelves, she could hear Kyler and his friend on the other side of the library, being as obnoxious as ever.

She rolled her eyes before she found the table her friends were sitting at in the corner. Miguel waved her over and Maddie smiled.

"Hey guys." she greeted. They all greeted her back before they all got to work. Maddie had a ton of work to get done, but thankfully she understood it so it wouldn't take her that long.

AP Bio was a lot of work, but Maddie was up for the challenge. She was just happy that this wasn't an AP Physics or AP Chemistry course or otherwise she'd really be screwed.

With 10 minutes gone by, Maddie had whipped through a good portion of her work, causing the boys to look on in complete bafflement. She was an absolute working machine.

"So, that's it? No more karate?" Demetri broke the ice. Maddie raised an eyebrow.

"You're not doing karate anymore?" she asked, concerned. Miguel loved Karate.

"I guess so." Miguel responded. Maddie frowned. She wouldn't be surprised if the beating the other day had anything to do with it.

"It's probably for the best. It was starting to boost your confidence." Demetri explained.

"What's wrong with that?" Maddie said at the same time Miguel said "Isn't that a good thing?"

"No. What has confidence ever gotten anybody except a black eye and their backpack thrown in the trash?" Demetri huffed.
