'I'm sorry Mrs. Strong, I understand this news is a bunch to take in. Ill leave you all alone for a bit.'

'Timothy, what are we gonna do?'

'I know honey, we'll get through this, everything will be okay. Emilie is going to be okay. '

'Kaitlyn, your sister is sick. You need need to be there for her, okay?'

"Kaitlyn.. Yo Kaitlyn wake up."

"Huh.."

"Kaitlyn I hear people talking."

I shot up and looked around. Me and Taylor had decided to crash out on two towels for a bit and I ended up falling asleep.

"What do you mean you hear talking?" I asked.

"There's talking, come on get up."

I got up behind her and packed up everything. She was leaking behind a tree. I rubbed my eyes and peaked behind her.

"Look, there's people." She said

We spotted a trio walking up a nearby trail. I was hesitant, I couldn't tell if they were sick or not. We trailed quietly behind.

Soon enough we were led towards a clear area. The area was covered in scattered camps. 'The hell..' I thought to myself. I nudged Taylor and signaled her to follow me. We walked around the back, where only a few tents were and walked past them.

"Hey, who are you guys?" A man stopped us. "Curious." I responded. "I haven't seen you two before, you need to come with me." He grabbed me and Taylor by the arm and dragged us. There was a small shacks nearby that we were escorted too.

A man was inside. "Sir, I found two outsiders wandering the camp." The man turned around, blowing cigar smoke. He signaled for the man to leave us and close the door. He did just that.

"You ladies weren't here when I called this camp together the first day, where were you?"

"Walking across the state to get home."

"Huh, and you're still alive? That's funny."

I looked down.

"I knew this world was gonna collapse, so for years I've gathered names of people and told them where to head when it did. State your names."

"Kaitlyn Strong"

"Taylor Wu"

"I don't remember your names, so that mean you aren't supposed to be here. I could ban you or do it the fun way and take you to the golden gates."

I gulped.

"Sir, please, I'm looking for my sister, she's missing. My parents aren't alive anymore and at this point she's all I got, besides the woman behind me." I teared up.

"It's Mr. O'neil." He said, demandingly.

"Mr. O'neil." I said.

"What's your story?" He requested, looking at Taylor.

"My aunt was killed in whatever this is, so I've been sticking by Kaitlyn."

He nodded.

"Charlotte!" He yelled.

Bang!

"Ow fuck!"

A blonde woman walked in holding her head. "Yes?" She asked.

"Lead these twos to an open tent." He said.

"Yes sir."

We followed behind her.
