(37) - Unforseen Events

Migs tried his best not to get his emotions too high. Despite everything that has happened to him, and despite the truth and lies that he found out, he remains calm and as fine as possible. Unknown to him, acting that way will only make the people around him worry even more, especially his girlfriend, Cathy.

He received so many calls and messages from different people, from Simon, Erin, his Tita Sandy, who is already aware of the truth, his Tito Victor, his biological parents, but the only person he's talking to is his girlfriend.

Wala'ng ka-malay-malay si Migs na ang pagiging okay niya masyado ang pagmu-mulan ng away nila'ng dalawa ni Cathy. It has been a week since he found out the truth and Cathy have had enough of his actions.

"Bakit ba kasi ayaw mo'ng ipakita sa'min 'yung totoo'ng nararamdaman mo?! Ba't kailangan mo'ng itago, maski sa'kin?" tanong ni Cathy kay Migs.

For the past few days ay nagsa-wala'ng kibo lang si Cathy sa pagiging okay ni Migs, kahit alam niya'ng hindi talaga ito okay. Pero hindi na siya nakatiis pa kung kaya't 'nang dalawin siya nito sa bahay nila dahil hindi muna siya papasok sa Amanda's ay kinompronta na niya ang kasintahan.

Tumayo si Migs sa pagkakaupo niya sa sofa at hinarap si Cathy, "Sandali? Ba't ka ba nagagalit sa'kin?" kunwari'ng naguguluhang tanong niya kay Cathy, "I don't even understand the point of this whole conversation."

"You don't get the point?" Cathy asked repeatedly.

It was a good thing that Amanda is not at home, kaya kahit magsigawan ang dalawa ay wala'ng makakarinig sa kanila, maliban sa mga kasambahay nila Cathy.

Cathy scoffed and shook her head in disbelief, "Hindi mo maintindihan? Sige! Ipapaintindi ko sa'yo."

Migs kept his cool since he doesn't want to argue with Cathy, that's the very last thing he wants.

Magmula 'nung maging magkarelasyon sila'ng dalawa, minsan palang sila nagkaroon ng pagtatalo o pag-aaway, pero naisip din ni Migs na baka kailangan nga din nila mag-away paminsan-minsan para mas maintindihan nila ang kahalagahan ng relasyon nila. Hindi naman ibig sabihin na nag-aaway sila ay hindi na nila mahal ang isa't isa. As a matter of fact, mas lalo pa'ng nadadagdagan ang pagmamahal nila sa isa't isa.

"Mula 'nung nalaman mo 'yung totoo kay Tito Victor, hindi mo na ulit binanggit ang tungkol dun. Kapag tinatanong kita, ang lagi mo'ng sinasabi sa'kin ay I'm okay kahit na alam ko namang hindi." Cathy sighed and closed her eyes for a second. "For heaven's sake, Migs..." she looked at him and exhaled sharply, "...hindi ako bulag at manhid para hindi ko makita't maramdaman na may iba sa'yo, na nasasaktan ka. Bakit hindi mo hayaan na makita ko 'yun ng tuluyan? Bakit hindi mo hayaan na dama---"

"Dahil ayoko'ng ituon mo sa'kin ang buo'ng atensyon mo!"

Migs exploded like a stick of dynamite, and that made Cathy stunned.

"I don't want you to sacrifice anything for me. I don't want you to do some things that will only give benefit me. I don't want you to forget yourself just because you want to be with me." Migs turned around to hide his tears from Cathy.
