Right, yes, hello! Yes I know it's been a few weeks... I think. Honestly forgot to update so here it is!

"I can't believe you would do something as irresponsible as that, you could...."

Oh, hello there. My name is Aine. Right now I am being lectured by my mother for something I believe is not that much of a big-

"Look at me when I'm talking to you! Are you evening listening?"

"Wo! Mum! Chill, I'm listening-"

"Be quiet and let me lecture you child! I work hard for this family I don't need a teenager thinking they're top dog round here-"

"I'm going to move into the pack house."

My mum froze, her bug eyes staring at me probably trying to find a crack in my facade telling her I was just kidding.

Problem: I wasn't kidding.

"Mum, I love you and Rosali and.... Yeah I love you guys so much."

"Rude much...." I heard Max mutter from somewhere on my right side.

"But I have to do this, my path is in this general direction. I mean sure, it could be directed generally at the nearest Sam's, which is probably North from our house and in the same direction as the pack house, but I've made my decisions that this will be best for me."

"Yo-ou're right," she choked out, her eyes watering, "it's just my baby grew up so fast...."

And this, is where all the movies are wrong. My mum didn't beautifully let a tear role down her cheek, oh no, she started wailing on the floor grabbing at my legs in the middle of the pack house. Infront of my friends. And the pups. And the adults. You know what, I have a feeling nearly all of the pack was watching.

Nearly.

Kierin had been gone all day.

"Uh... Mum? You wanna hug?" Her head nodded against my now sodden legs. My heart did break a little on the inside seeing my mum cry like that. I can remember only one other time she had cried infront of me, but that was a different time and we were different people.

Getting onto the floor, I sat cross legged and cradled my mum in my arms.

The wind howled at my window, branches scraping against what sounded like the entire building. I lay hidden, safe, under my blanket on my bed. It was too dark too see, I pulled my teddy, Bono, closer to my chest.

Pulling his ear to my mouth I whispered, "Don't wander off now, you can't get lost or you'll be in trouble."

A sharp rat-at-at sounded at the door and I yelped, bolting up straight and shoving the blanket down. I stared in silence with Bono as the door inched open.

"Hush, it's just me." A wide smile broke across my face at my mum's words, she could always put a smile on my face. She switched on a lamp to the side before coming over to me.

"Scooch up then, there's no room for me on the bed."

I moved slightly to the left, allowing my mother to sit down next to me. She sat against the headboard and I snuggled into her side.

She pulled the blanket so it covered my shoulders and her chest. Bono was under the covers so I pulled him up for air.

"My brave little warrior... How is school?"
