In wanting

Picking myself off the ground, I tried to remember how I got here. Why I wasn't in your arms; why I wasn't your mate. As I thought about the past few weeks, a single tear shed from my eye. I walked over to the edge of the cliff, the wind wipping against my face as I looked down.

I noticed my sparkling shoes pointing out from beneath my dress, they were mud-caked, but they still shined like your teeth. Your teeth which you would lie through.

Taking one last look behind me, at the twinkling lights of the party in the distance, I thought about how foolish I was to ever believe anything you would say to me. So I jumped.
