Christmas Special #2: Photos With Santa

Okay, so this is a special and this takes place after the end of the book. So... some things will be changed and some things won't be the same as it is now but you can skip these Christmas special chapters if you want :)

"Are you sure we should do this?" Diana questioned, and I glanced down at her as we moved up a spot in line.

"It'll be fine, Diana. Plus, we'll have some fun along the way!" Gwen comforted Diana while gently bumping shoulders with her.

Diana nodded her head.

"Yeah, what Gwen said. It'll be fun. Plus at least we have everyone else so we look less stupid," I teased her, and I glanced around the slightly crowded mall.

It was near Christmas so it was expected to be crowding, and it was... to some degree. I was honestly looking forward to taking photos with Santa.

Everyone in the group was at least some degree excited about it. Aryana suggests this idea to the group and everyone agreed to it. We all wanted to do it even if some weren't as willing as others.

I felt a stare on me as I glanced around. I could see a few people glancing my way probably surprised to see a tall girl. I saw a few young kids starring at me and I waved at them hoping it wouldnt scare them.

I still felt the stare so I turned around to see a Karen a few spots behind us. She was glaring at our group, more me than anything. Even when I locked eyes with her, she didn't look away. Instead, her glare or stare harden.

I turned back around and rolled my eyes. I made her that she didn't see me roll my eyes or I knew she would start something. I just hope that she doesn't abuse anything.

I stared at the Santa who currently had a child on his lap, and I saw the parent behind the photographer giving the child a smile. The parent also gave the kid a small wave and the child waved back.

It reminded me of how my mother was with us. How we would have a family Santa photo every year. We were even planning on having one the same year she died... but that never happened.

We even joked with her that Andrew and I would continue the Santa photos into our adult years. And I knew that Andrew and I would have done that but then we died.

We didn't do it that year or the following years after.

It wouldn't have felt the same, it wouldn't have.

"You okay?" Diana asked, and I felt a small squeeze on my hand. I looked down as she brought me out of my thoughts to see her holding my hand.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I just got a little distracted," I reassured her and gave her a small smile. She mumbled a small okay as we moved up another space in line.

We were now next.

"Quinn you'll have to sit in front of Santa," Aryana said calmly and I nodded my head. I can see why I need to sit on the floor of all reasons.

It was quiet for a few more minutes beside the clicks of the camera. The Karen was still glaring at me but luckily hasn't started anything.

Soon, we heard someone shout a 'next' and we moved towards Santa.

I sat on the floor in front of Santa due to the fact that my head would get cut out of the photo. If anything, I bet half of my body would get cut out.

I quickly glanced around to see where everyone was.

Diana was on my left, Bonnie was to the right of me and Nora was next to Bonnie. We were the ones sitting on the floor in front of Santa.

Paris, Cassie and Kath were next to the seat for Santa and on their knees. Cassie was in between them so she was in front of Santa. They gave me a small wave when I looked at the three of them and i smiled at them.

And behind them, hovering over Santa's lap, was Gwen and Aryana. They were on opposites knees on Santa and they were hovering so it looked like they were sitting on him.

"You guys ready?" The photographer asked and I turned my head around to face them.

"Yep," I stated after a few seconds letting everyone get ready and have a few seconds to prepare.

"Okay," The photographer said and looked at the camera and then back at us. "Say Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas!" We all cheered in sync and I heard a a few clicks of the camera. The photograph looked at us and gave us a thumbs up.

It basically told us we were all good to go so we did that. We walked over towards the lady at the computer. I could already see the few photos the photographer took.

The lady told us we had to pick one, we did and then she gave us a letter. I glanced over to see it was all the options there were and I knew we were going to get the most expensive one.

I mean, there's nine of us so we would have to go with the ten of everything pretty much. And I saw the price it was a good few hundred but, I guess, it's worth it for all that stuff.

I gave the lady my card so she could swipe it when the group 'choose' what one they wanted. And because I knew that by the time that Aryana would look into her purse for her card, the lady would have already used my card.

And I was right.

They had picked the last one and Aryana went looking in her purse. The lady swiped my card and handed it back to me and I felt a harden glare.

I glanced to my right to see Aryana's card already in her hand and she was glaring at me. I locked eyes with her and waved slyly and looked back at the lady.

Aryana walked up and began to sign everything so her email, address, etc.

And once that was done, we walked out and began looking around the mall for whatever we needed. And Aryana tried to give me a lecture about how I shouldn't pay it because it isn't my duty and whatnot.

I may or may not have zoned out when that happened. And Aryana may or may not have stopped the 'lecture' once she realised that I zoned out...

I would like to thank you all for 1.9k reads on my book. We are so close to 2k. And I could not thank you all enough. I am so happy that you guys are enjoying my book. I never thought we would even get this far.

When we hit 2k I'll upload another actual chapter and not a Christmas special.

I should also mentioned how I still have four more Christmas specials to write.
