Chapter Nineteen: Homophobic Shit Said To Us
"Mum, Dad, this is my friend Quinn," Diana said as she introduced me to her parents. I put a hand out and tried to give off the best impression as possible.
I wanted her parents to like me.
"Hey, Diana's parents. It's nice to meet you." I said as they shook my hand and smiled at me.
"It's lovely to meet you Quinn," Diana's Dad said, and gave his wife a side hug.
"Diana has told us so much about you. I mean like a lot," Diana's Mum said and I saw Diana's eyes widen.
"Mum," She said in a whine and I laughed. I then looked at her.
"Awh, you talk about me. Damn I didn't know you were that obsessed with me," I said playfully mocking her.
She then mumbled something and playfully glared at me. I chuckled at her response and so did her parents.
We then talked with her parents for a few minutes. The first thing I noticed about that was how lovely and kind they were. I can see where Diana got her sweetness from. They were also shorter than me which was honestly kind of funny. Diana's Dad was THAT much shorter than me but he was still shorter than me by a good three or four inches. And Diana's Mum was the same height or an inch taller than Diana.
It was really funny for them to see a 5'11" tall human being. I was huge compared to Diana and it was just funny to see the height comparison. But it was cute.
Soon we had to leave them because the team would have worried about us and her parents wanted good seats at the game. We said our goodbyes and meet up with the team.
Aryana quickly explained the strategy to the team. She wanted to make sure we all knew the strategy.
We were going against 'The Sharks' who were quite good. In fact they were really good. They ended up in the top five rankings last year. Due to their name they might sound aggressive but apparently they were the nicest team to every exist. And honestly I'm excited to see that.
"Yo, Diana and Quinn want to go to the canteen with me," Gwen said to us and we both nodded.
Her and I were quite close. I would consider her as my best friend. Her and I got along really well and I cared about her. We talked pretty much every day. Surprisedly, her outgoing personality went really well with my reserved one.
I was still closer to Diana though, and I wouldn't consider Diana as a best friend. She was... more than that. I don't know how to explain it but it just felt more than that. It could be my mind playing tricks but it did truely feel like more than just best friends.
We followed her and we ended up pasting a hallway that had people call our name. We all stopped and we saw four team members of the sharks and we walked towards them.
I saw four of them. The 'main' one was called Brittany. The girl with fully dyed bright hair was Stancy if I remember correctly. The shortest one was named Abby. And the tallest was called Jasmine.
"What's up?" Diana said excitedly. She was excited to meet them and I guess she also heard of their reputation of being the nicest people.
"We just wanted to warn you guys that we are going to destroy you guys in the ground, tonight," Brittany said and I was confused and Diana and Gwen looked like they were taken back.
"What?" I asked confused.
Brittany then turned her attention towards me and smirked smugly.
"You're Quinn. You're the bitch that started a fight with Anna," She stated as I was now slightly taken back. Unlike Diana and Gwen I didn't show it.
