Chapter Nine: Getting to know one another
"Why don't I see you in any of my classes?" Diana said and I just looked at my food.
"I'm in all advance classes that might be why and the fact that I am in the trouble maker program thingy they have going on," I stated as I did some of my maths work on.
I saw her nod her head in the corner of my eye.
"Why are you in the trouble makers program?" She asked and I looked up at her and raised my eyebrow at her. She instantly put her hands up. "I just wanted to start a conversation."
"It's fine, Diana," I said and bit into my chocolate and answering question ten on the homework. I was nearly done with this shit and I couldn't wait for it.
"I got expelled from my last school. I got into a really bad fight with the principal's bitch of a daughter. She deserved it though," I said shrugging my shoulders. "Plus, I also have a record for getting suspended and expelled from schools. That was the second school I got expelled from."
"Woah... second one?"
"Yep."
"You haven't gotten suspended here though," She said shrugging her shoulders, playfully.
"Yet," I said pointing it out and pointing my finger at her, playing along.
"So why havent you gotten into trouble here yet?" She asked curiously.
"Well, no one has pushed my buttons yet." I said just shrugging slightly. I put the wrapper of my chocolate snack into my pocket.
It was quiet for a while and it gave me time to finish the homework. And surprisedly the silence wasn't uncomfortable. It was actually kind of nice...
"Why did you get expelled from the first school?" Diana asked.
"Same as the second one. Got into a bad fight with Anna-," I said and got interrupted.
"Wait! Anna? As in Anna from the Thorn Tigers," She said most likely accidentally cutting me off. I nodded my head.
"Yep, we used to even be best friends but she fucked it up. We went to the same school. We have history," I stated, shrugging my shoulders as if it was nothing.
But I knew it was way more than nothing.
"So... that means you also know Lilly, right?" She questioned and waited for me to respond, which I nodded once again.
"You are right. She's also part of the issue why Anna and I aren't friends anymore," I said turning my body to face her more and lifted one of my legs over the metal seat.
"I'm sorry, Quinn," Diana said sadly, and I just sighed.
"Don't be. I'm happy that the bitch isn't in my life anymore. If anything it was a wake up call," I said, and I felt myself relaxed more.
I seem to relax more with Diana and it was... nice.
"A wake up call?" She asked confused, and the look one her face was adorable.
