Chapter Forty Two: Helping Those Girls Out

The weekend had past and it was now Monday. The basketball group chat ended up kicking Alexis out right after the fight. We also created another group chat to talk about what happened the other night, to support one another.

I don't think Lilly, Anna and Alexis had the thought that this would bring us closer. We were more than a family at this point than we ever have.

Apparently Alexis moved schools and that day she exposed us was her last day. She must have planned this out well but not well enough for our reactions.

I'm assuming she expected us to act as this weakness group. And, sure, we all were upset. We were either on the verge of crying or crying. I guess they wanted to ruin the trust we had and make sure we all dropped out so they could go to nationals.

I mean, sure, I did get some sort of weird vibes off of her. But, I didn't think she would do something like this. She was incredibly nosy and that did piss me off.

I just didn't expect her to go down this path.

I walked down the school hallways. I entered a quiet hallway where my locker was. I entered my code and threw my shit in.

"Hey," I heard someone say.

I turned around quickly in shock. It wasn't someone I was familiar with and I didn't hear them walking up to me. How long were they follow me for?

I doubt it was for me but I still glanced around. I ended up locking eyes with the two girls who was with that homophobic girl. The same ones that seemed hesitant.

I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What are you guys doing here?" I said with slight hostility in my voice. I saw them both flinch slightly and they looked at their feet. I softened up my glare as I stared at them.

"Do you remember what you said to us the last time we met?" The girl with black hair said and I glanced at her.

"Well, not really." I stated and their eyes widen slightly. "I mean, I do remember you guys being dicks but also remember me saying something about helping you get over your internalised homophobia."

"We're sorry for that. You were right... we have internalised homophobia," The blonde continued, and I saw that she was incredibly uncomfortable admitting that she wasn't straight.

I knew that feeling.

"You guys just need to get that sorted out. It'll help you out in the long run," I stated and there wasn't any type of harshness in that sentence.

I closed my locker and held my items for Science in my hands. I glanced back to see that they were still there. Like, a cat had caught their tongue.

"It's okay to take your time." I commented and was about to take a step away from them. I needed to see Diana before class since she wasn't doing Science.

"We were wondering if you could maybe help us accept that we aren't straight." The blonde headed girl blurted out. I froze for a second and turned around.

"W-We want to get help." She added, and I looked at the two of them. I stared at them and I could see that they were genuine.

They wanted to get help.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. They looked up at me and I smiled slightly at them.

"Okay, lets meet up at the library at lunchtime since that bitchy friend of yours won't see us there." I commented and waved my hand up in dismissed. "I doubt she reads books with that 'ideology' in her head."
