Chapter Thirty One: The Finals
Where the fuck was Alexis, it was the finals and she was late again.
"Has anyone seen Alexis?" Bonnie asked, and it was when everyone noticed that she wasn't here nor have been seen in a while.
"Yeah, I haven't seen her in a while. The same goes for Paris and Nora. Where are those three?" Aryana said with a slight concern tone in her voice.
Aryana quickly glanced around the court and didn't see any of them anywhere. And sure, they all could have gone for a toilet break or somewhere.
The only thing that didn't sit well for me was the fact that Anna and Lilly weren't here either. They weren't training on the other court getting ready for the final.
The same final match where our team and theirs go against one another... to see who would get into Nationals. And I'm sure, that the others also noticed that.
I decided it would be best for me to go out of the rest. One, I could handle Anna and Lilly the best out of everyone. Two, I somewhat knew the two weaknesses, and what ticked them off. And three, I don't have anything better to do.
"I'll look for them," I said and before anyone could object I walked towards the gym doors.
We needed them, and the fact that Anna and Lilly weren't also on the court along with a few members on our team wasn't good. It was anything but good.
I opened the door, and listened into the hallways, as I walked pasted them. We needed to win this, and we needed to with everyone. I didn't hear anything and it was starting to worry me.
A few hallways downI heard two people talking, well I couldn't understand them but they were talking. I turned down the hallway and saw two girls.
I saw what seemed like Lilly and Nora having a talk. And I could tell that it wasn't an argument but it also wasn't a friendly talk either. Nora looked frightened, worried which didn't sit well with me. At least, I have found one of the three missing teammates.
I walked up to the two of them, and thats when they both noticed my presence. Lilly smirked at me while Nora looked slightly worried and I looked at Nora.
"The teammates are looking for you, you better start heading back," I said to her and she nodded her head and walked away. I glanced at Lilly who was still staring at me.
"Stop staring, you're acting like a fucking creep," I stated and she rolled her eyes, and that was the only thing we said.
I expected her to say something, anything but she didn't. And that didn't sit well with me, and she walks away without saying anything to me. She had this stupid grin on her face which didn't help me feel comfortable.
I'll have to ask Nora what the fuck happened back there.
I began to walk away on the next mission to find the other two teammates. They had to be somewhere around here for sure, and if not, well, I'm going to stress out.
I continued walking for another few minutes wondering where they were. And once again, I heard voices but now three instead of two. I looked down the hallway to see three people.
I saw Alexis and Paris talking, well, seeming to have an argument with Anna. I walked over towards the two of them getting ready to jump in.
Those two needed to get back to the courts to actually practise, the match is going to start soon. And we cannot afford to lose this match.
It was the finals against 'The Tigers' and we all wanted to win.
We needed to win this to make it to Nationals. Our school team hasn't made it to Nationals yet alone the finals in YEARS. So, at least we were ahead of the previous teams in the whole finals thing.
