Chapter Twenty Eight: Surprise

"Where are we even going Aryana?" I heard Bonnie asked ahead of Diana and I on the bus.

"It's a surprise," I heard Aryana answer Bonnie's question. I could already know that Aryana has either got a cheeky smile or a smirk on her face.

"Where do you think we're going?" Diana whispered as I turned my head down. She was resting her head on my shoulder. I felt my eyebrows fellow in slight confusion.

"I don't know but I trust Aryana... so she must have something good and fun up her sleeve. She always has something fun up her sleeve," I commented back and I felt her slightly nod her head into my shoulder.

"I hope it's fun," I heard Diana mumbled. "And I hope we get their soon. I'm close to falling asleep."

"We haven't even been driving for more than thirty minutes," I stated in confusion, and glanced down at her who was playing a game on her phone.

"I know, but car rides makes me sleepy." She replied and I looked at her in more confusion. That's slightly weird, I mean I don't know how car rides could make someone sleepy... but okay?

"Okay..." I said slowly to her response. "Well, you better not fall asleep... I need you to keep me entertained. And hopefully it isn't too much longer."

"How much longer Aryana?" I heard Alexis question, and she had basically took the words out of my mouth.

It reminded me the fact that not only was Alexis late today but so was Gwen. Them being late was why we had left later than we planned to.

I wondered why they were even late to begin with.

"Between another ten minutes and twenty minutes," Aryana responded and I looked down at Diana.

"Can you even last that long?" I teased her slightly and she lifted her head up slightly to look at me.

"Maybe," She said while giving me a slight smirk.

God, she's adorable.

Diana didn't end up falling asleep although she nearly did. It took up twenty five minutes to get there because of some unexpected traffic.

We had slowly got of of the bus and I looked around at the building we were supposed to go in.

I looked up to see a rock climbing indoor place. So this was the surprise? I mean she wasn't wrong, this was in fact a surprise.

I personally didn't expect her to take us here of all places. And now, I wonder why she did? Was it because it could be a possible team bonding experience? Was it to work on our strength? What was it?

"We're going to have some fun," Aryana said, answering all of the questions I had inside my head.

"Aren't we supposed to be practicing for the final weekend?" Alexis asked, and I couldn't tell the emotion she had in her voice.

"Yeah that's true but I wanted today to be a fun day. You guys shouldn't be too stressed about winning. I mean sure, it would be nice to win but it doesn't matter if we lose. I'll still be proud of all of you guys no matter the win or lose." Aryana added and the group hummed in agreement.

"Come on lets go," Aryana stated as we all began to follow her into the building.

We all walked in and the first thing I noticed was the amount of people there were here. There was a decent amount here but all were from a few different schools in this area.

Well, all the students came from one single school. Lucky, not a school that does basketball because that would be more awkward. And honestly, I'm happy that there isn't anyone from a school that does basketball here.
