The surprise wake up call (Chapter 16)

Kai P.O.V.

 Half asleep I felt hands sliding over my head; I looked over my shoulder No it can't be. "Zandra?" I looked at her with a smile on my face "Kai?" Zandra replied back with a smile "Zandra!" I stood up and kissed her every where on her face "Zandra I love you so much I'm so sorry I did this to you please forgive me." she pulled my head away with her warm hands cupping my face "Kai its not your fault don't apologize okay?" I saw her tears rolling down from her eyes "Okay I'm just so happy to see you awake." I said as I hugged her even tighter than I did before "Careful my head is killing me." Zandra pulled me away "I'm sorry." I said as I sat up carefully; she scooted closer to the edge of the edge of the bed making space for me, so I slip in while she layed her head on mines and were her legs are laying over mines.

 "Kai?" Zandra said "Yeah?" I said looking out of the window "Where will I go, I don't have a family anymore I lost my house, and-." Zandra sentence was broke of by her tears that was now falling on my shirt. "Zandra you can live with us until you settle down some where else; my parents said they could clean the boxes out of the guest room so you can sleep there and you can practically live there." I said with a cheerful smile "K-Kai are you like really serious,like your not kidding?" Zandra slowly sat up staring at me "Yeah I'm serious my parents understand so they wanna help, plus they told you that while you were in a coma." "Oh" Zandra layed back down and fell asleep.

 "She can leave once her health gets back to a normal level." The docter said "Okay and also about her dad...what about him?" I said in a worried tone "He will be going to court also the mother will to based of on abuse and neglect so Zandra will be put up for adoption well maybe depending on which of the parent is the most responsible." The docter said "W-what that can't happen; she has to stay with me, she can't leave me!" I shouted. "I'm sorry, but thats how things work aro-." "Docter Willow please report to room E244 please." The announcement lady interrupted the docters sentence before he could even finish "Sorry Kai, but I gotta go." The docter walked off and letted me there standing in shock. I stared at the white tiles until I heard some shuffling in the room.

 I walked in and saw Zandra attempt to get out of bed; I rushed to her "Zandra lay back and relax, the more rest you get the faster your able to get out of here." I gently helped her lay back on the bed. Zandra letted out a big sigh. "You don't look so good." I said as I sat back on the nearby chair "Gee thanks." Zandra let out a weak sigh. Zandra threw her arms out signaling me to hug her, I got up and hugged her; we stayed there for a couple minutes until we were interrupted by my parents who suddenly came walking in.

 Zandra P.O.V.

 "Hi Zandra how are you?" Kai's mom said honesty my head is killing me and my whole body aches "I-I'm fine thanks for asking." I lied "Oh well that's good; well we brought you some cupcakes." Kai's mom said as Kai's dad opened a box of cupcakes. My heart skipped a beat once I saw the cupcakes in the box each decorated differently. "Oh chocolate and vanilla." I said excitedly "Yeah we didn't know what to choose so we chose both." Kai said "Very wise of you." I said with a smile,Kai chuckled and leaned into kiss me. "Aww look hun there so cute together!" I pulled back back and saw Kai's mom making goggly eyes at us; I chuckled at Kai's mom "Thanks." I said with a smile.

 While Kai's parents, Kai, and I the docter knocked on the door and walked in. "I see Zandra has gotten better." the docter smiled at me "Well seems like you can leave tomorrow since your getting better now." The docter said "Really?" I said almost sitting up in excitement "Yeah just make sure you take your pain medication for your headaches and aches." The docter walked out "Well seems like you get to leave this stupid place." Kai said "Kai respect this hospital!" Kai's mom said with a glare; I chuckled.

 Once Kai's parents left I ate one of the cupcakes before I went to sleep. "You got some icing there." Kai leaned over and grabbed a dab of icing of the cupcake and putted it on the tip of my nose; I tried licking the icing, but I gave up and just continued eating the cupcake "You know the icing should be a new look for you." Kai said with a smile on his face "Oh yeah?" I grabbed a dab of icing and putted it on the tip of his nose "I think it looks better on you honestly." I said chuckling. "Haha whatever you should get some rest its late." Kai said trying to find a comfortable position on the chair "Kai you know you can sleep with me right?" I said as I scooted over making room for Kai. Kai slid into bed and slipped his arm around me; after a few minutes  we both finally fell asleep.
