The terrible beginning (Chapter 18)

Zandra P.O.V.

  I woke up to my alarm blaring at me."Ugh." I groaned and slowly moved out of bed. I grabbed some clothes and went to the bathroom which thankfully is connected to my room. I walked out of the bathroom wearing a red and blue flannel over a fall out boy t-shirt and some black leggings.

 I heard my stomach grumble so I went downstairs to see whats in there.Quietly I tried to open the fridge "A wild Zandra looking through the fridge." I quickly spun around,and saw Kai's hair in a mess and he was in his gym shorts "S-sorry I was starving." I said. I felt my cheeks turn burning red. "Its okay do you want cereal?" Kai said walking to one of the kitchen cabinet "Yeah sure?" I said as I sat on the kitchen counter. "Here you go." Kai handed me a box of cereal; I was to lazy to get off the counter and grab the milk and bowl so I asked Kai "Kaiiiii." I said in a sort of childish tone "Yeah?" Kai walked over to me "I'm to lazy to get the bowl and milk can you get it for me?" I said "Really?" Kai said with a sarcastic annoying look on his face as he went to grab me a bowl and milk "What else do you want me to do make your cereal?" Kai said "Yeah." I said with a smile on my face "I was kidding,but since I love you I will." Kai said. Kai walked over to me grabbing the box of cereal out of my hand. Once he finished he handed it to me, and went to walk upstairs to change.

  I was listening to music, with the volume up high. I closed my eyes as I ate my cereal. Somebody pulled my ear buds out,and I turned to look at them with anger.It was Kai "Ready to go to school?" Kai said "Why do we even have to go to school?" I said. Once putting on my shoes I slipped on my back pack, and walked out with Kai.

  Once I walked in the school building I felt some eyes on me. "Just ignore them; look at the floor okay?" Kai said "O-okay" I said looking down at the floor while Kai led me to my first period. "Bye." Kai kissed my forehead before he went to leave to his class. Don't worry you can do this okay? Only 1 period without Kai you can do this okay? okay. I thought to myself.

  I sat in my seat pulling out a book to distract me from the people who were piling in. "So I heard your dating Kai." I recognized the voice; I felt my heart beat quicken as I forced myself to look up. "H-h-how d-do you kn-know?" I said nervously "Oh I have my ways." The girl with the red hair looked at me with envy and hatred. "But I can tell you this; you better watch your back or else I'll tell everybody about this little family problem of yours, and don't worry I'll sprinkle in so little rumors." The girl leaned away from me; chuckling at my face full of shock,and walked of with her group who was waiting for her. I was guessing they were talking about me since they were laughing, as I looked over them with the corner of my eyes.

 My heart beat quickened,faster than before; I felt my face burn red. As I was reading my vision blurred and there were wet tear drops on the pages of the book. I soon found myself crying. I need to escape,but I can't I can't run out now cause the one I need is here, and I can't leave him alone with out telling him.

  I heard the bell ring ready for the next class I picked up my bag and rushed out of the room before the others could collect there stuffs together and walk out. "Hey Zandra." Kai said cupping my face in his hands. I started tearing up again. "Kai I can't do this I can't; I want to go I want to leave now please Kai please." I said as I leaned against his shoulder crying silently. I felt eyes stabbing me everywhere around my body.

Kai's P.O.V.

 I saw Zandra looking at the floor as she walked towards me. I cupped my hands around her tempted to kiss her, but instead I said hi. "Hey Zandra." I said. Right after I said those words Zandra broke into tears. Was it something I said? I said in my mind.  "Kai I can't do this I can't; I want to go I want to leave now please Kai please." Zandra said pleading me. I want to be there I need to support her no matter what ever it is I need to be there cause I'm the only who's there for her. "Okay lets skip okay?" I said rubbing her back as she cried on my shoulder; she slowly nodded as she pulled away leaving a wet stain on my shirt. "Okay lets just go,don't stop no turning around okay?" I said while pulling her out to the back door that was in the hallway that leaded to the outside.

 Once I stepped foot onto the outside I knew some one was gonna come soon. "Run." I said, but there was no need cause I was still pulling her to our house. My parents will understand they should, this will have to be the last time that I will be doing this cause if I keep doing it I'll get both of us in trouble and I can't let that happen. "Hey!" I spun my head around, and I saw a women with high heels chasing after us. The women chose the wrong day to wear heels cause she fell and tripped on the grass.

 We got back to the house, my parents were at work so I decided to text them and left a message explaining everything before they came home. I made a group chat and texted my parents.

 To: Mom&Dad

 I'm sorry I ditched school with Zandra the thing is is that Zandra is having a rough time at school, and I couldn't stand seeing her in pain.This will be the last time I will be doing this; it's just that I hadn't seen her in so much pain since this day. I'm sorry mom and dad.

 I took a deep breath,and thought about ways to help Zandra. Ever since I've been with Zandra I felt like I can be the one to solve her problems, but I felt like I didn't do much. I want to be there and help her, but I can never do that.

  I felt my phone vibrating; I looked down and saw my dad calling me.

"Hello?" I said nervously.

"Kai?" I heard my dad say, but I heard my mom mummer in the background. Shit.

"Yeah?" I said.

"I just saw the text message you sent both of us." There was a pause; I heard my mom murmer again through the phone "Kai I understand that, and I get what you mean don't worry," My heart skipped a beat and I started relaxing. "But you can't do that anymore okay? I can't risk you two getting in trouble and you promise me this is gonna be the last time you will ever do this."

"Yeah dad," I paused trying to think of something to say "Dad can I talk to mom?" I said in a calm tone. I heard some shuffling until I heard a familiar voice.

"Honey?" I heard my mom say in a motherly tone.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Kai sweetie you can't do that anymore you said you'd promise me at the airpor,but yes I do understand you okay? this will be the last time I'm gonna let you slide anymore then you'll be grounded for 3 months." My mom said sternly.

"Yeah mom I understand. Mom thank dad for me,also thanks mom." I hanged up with a slight smile on my face.
