The change (Chapter 21)

Zandra P.O.V.

 Kai finally made me get out of bed and to go to school. I was afraid of what will happen,but I knew I was gonna be safe if he was around.

 I walked to the bathroom half asleep. I forced my eyes open, and saw the horrifying face staring back at me "Your so ugly seems like you now gotta make yourself look decent at least right?" I said to myself. I hopped in the shower, and just washed my hair; I brushed my teeth, and went out to go and change. I looked through my closet; I grabbed a galaxy over sized shirt along with some black leather pants. I looked at myself at the mirror, "I have got to fix this mess." I mumbled to myself. I would have straighten  my hair, but I was to lazy to I just did some beachy waves, and I was ready.

  I looked around in the kitchen to find food, sadly there wasn't anything that appealed to me. "Kaiiiiiiii there's nothing to eat!" I said shouting. Kai's parents already went to work, so it was practically just the two of us. "Yeah there is." Kai said jogging down the stairs towards me. He kissed me on my forehead, and walked to the fridge I followed him. We both looked into the fridge eye every single item there was. "You wanna make scrambled eggs?" Kai said "Yeah sure,but I'm not sure we will have enough time." I said, grabbing the eggs out of the fridge. "Yeah I know that can wait." Kai said taking out the pan. We both met at the stove, and started making some eggs.

 Once I settled down I started shoving the eggs in my mouth. "Do you like my new shirt?" Kai said modeling with his eggs in his hands. I started laughing spitting the eggs out of my mouth accidentally. "Sorry." I said wiping the eggs off me, an started picking up the bits that were on the table "Its fine I always spit on this table see?" Kai said and spitted at me "Kai!" I said looking down at my shirt. "What? its normal." he got up and helped wipe the eggs of me. "Okay let me see your shirt I didn't get to see it, because I was laughing to hard plus I might have got some on the shirt." Kai stood up posing, with his hands on his hips and making face dramatic. I giggled, and stared at his shirt; It was a black shirt with that said 'Kill them without kindness' in electric blue letters. "So your copying my hair color?" I said looking up at him with a smile "Yup!" I got up and went on my tip toes to kiss him. He wrapped his arms around my stomach and kissed me. "Breakfast!" Kai said pulling away from me he went to my half finished plate of eggs, and scooped up some "Open your mouth here comes the choo choo train." I laughed at him, and pushed it away.

 Kai P.O.V.

  We finally had penny boards that we could ride to school, so we decided to use it. Zandra and I went both putted on the same old black converse we had, and went out. Zandra had a tribal patterned board which she colored in, with some see through black wheels; mines were completely different I just had a glow in the dark board with black wheels. "You ready?" I said grabbing both of our boards "Yeah let me just get my backpack." Zandra run upstairs while I went out and waited on the porch.

 Zandra walked out slipping on her black backpack. I locked the door, and soon we skated to school. We already knew how because one of my friends taught me back at home, so I used the things I know and taught Zandra. We arrived to the school, and walked to class. "Love you." I said, and kissed her lips "Love you too." Zandra was about to open the door until I turned around and said something "Stay strong." I said and walked off.

Zandra P.O.V.

 I walked in class with my head down. "Zandra why are you late?" I felt the whole class stare at me "I woke up late." I said which was a lie, I couldn't say that I was with my boyfriend, and we were having a little mini scrambled egg fight and ate the eggs that were left and went to school together. "Okay go sit in your seat." the teacher said, and went back to teaching. I heard whispers about me and Kai, but I tried to shut them out, but I couldn't. Stay strong I replayed those words in my mind until class was over.

 I rushed to second period, and saw Kai sitting at the seat that was in front of mines. Thank god hes nearby me. "Hi beautiful." Kai smiled at me and I smiled back. "Missed you." I whispered as the teacher walked in "Missed you too." Kai said before writing something on his notebook.

 "Okay class there is gonna be a project for science, once you choose your partner I will assign you a project to do." We looked at each other with a grin, and knew what was in our minds.

 "Hey Kai so do you wanna be my partner?" Kai looked away from me, and looked up at the red haired girl who was looking at him in a slutty way. Kai stood up from his desk,and stared at her sternly "Why would I wanna partner up with a slut like you? You have done some many things to ruin Zandra's life, and now your asking me if I wanna be partners with you? What do I look like a player? Go get a fucking life, and get your shit together cause right now you look like a fucking slut; get your fucking dirty ass of my desk." The red haired girl had a shock look in her face "Wow um okay well first of all my name is not slut my name is Alexa, second of all I do have a life and your obviously wasting your time with this bitch here," Alexa pointed at me, with a smirk on her face "And third of all what do you even find attractive in her?" Alexa looked back at me examining me from head to toe as if she was looking at a ugly, disgusting animal.

"I love Zandra for who she is not just her looks, shes funny, and caring and all those characteristics you find in those perfect fictional characters that's what she is shes amazing, and I love her; the way she looks shes much better than you." Kai looked at me then back at the girl. I soon realized that everybody was watching the three of us. "You never knew who Zandra was, but you wanted to make her miserable, you never knew whats her background is like, but your still bulling her so why are you hurting her? why are you eating away her soul? why are you so self fish?" Kai was raising his voice with every word he spoke "Well I-." Alexa started stuttering, but she had the look of determination "Well? explain explain to Zandra not me." Kai was now walked next to me.

 I built ther courage to say something without stuttering. There are still things I need to get off my back, and this is one of them I need to take this moment that was being given to me and use it. "When I was 12 I was abused back at home ever since then until now, I was alone I knew this year was gonna be the worst, and I was for sure because of that because you were there to ruin it, making my life even miserable than it was already was. I never knew why you did this to me, and I wanna know why. Based off the need for power? Jealousy? envy? I don't know all I know was that you hurt me." tears started forming in my eyes "January 21 2012 was the first cut I made because of you and my family. I never had anybody to love, or anybody who I knew loved me. That's why I planned my suicide date which is supposed to be 2 months ago on the day before Christmas, that was the day where you slammed me against the bathroom wall, I was planning it on doing it that day. I kept moving not because I was afraid, but because I met Kai; I wouldn't have been alive if it wasn't for him. That's my background." I stood there wiping away tears, and looked up to see people with sorrow and shocked looks on there faces.

 "Zan-." I cutted Alexa off "No don't say sorry cause I'll never forgive for what you have done to me since I was 13." Everybody sat there in silence; the teacher was just blinking in shock and stood there looking at me to Kai to Alexa then back at me. "Zandra, Alexa, Kai please step out." The teacher said while holding the door for the three of us.
