Birthday! (Chapter 29)

Zandra P.O.V.

        It was Kai's birthday, so I wanted to surprise him sorta in away. "Kai can you go get groceries, and umm." I paused to think of things Kai needed to get so I can have time to make his birthday cake. "Can you get some more furniture for the house please?" I shouted in my room while searching up on how to make cake. "Why can't you come with me?" Kai said poking his head through the door and groaning "Because you've been lazy all week." I said while staring at my laptop which faced away from him "No I haven't." "Uhh yes you have." I said now looking up at him "No." Kai said mocking my face "Then prove it get groceries and some stuffs for the house." Kai groaned again, and was about to head out "The grocery list is on my desk Kai." I said, seconds later he came back to my room grabbing the grocery list then headed out the door.

        Once I heard the front door close I immediately brought my laptop to the kitchen, and to make sure I checked the living room window which showed me part of the drive way; no car. I ran back,and started collecting the ingredients. Once I settled everything I started following the directions that was on the laptop.

        I plopped in all the wet ingredients then started mixing with the machine mixer. "How are you supposed to work this?" I said while examining the knob on the mixer "Oh." I turned it on, and unexpectedly some of the ingredients splashed all over the kitchen counter and on my shirt "Shit." I mumbled to myself. I ran to grab some napkins and started wiping away the ingredients that splatted all over the wall, then I changed shirts.

        After a good struggling two hours of baking I finally managed to make the cake and I settled it on the living room table. I started hanging up little birthday decorations. "Finally I'm done." I heard my phone going off in the kitchen so I ran back to grab my phone. I smiled and answered "Hey babe." Kai said with a smile "Hey." I said "You okay? you seem tired." Kai said with a worried tone "Yeah I'm fine its just that I've been moving around alto that's why." I smiled even though I knew Kai couldn't see it "Oh well I'll be home around like at 6 okay?" "Okay." I said glancing at the clock on the stove it was 4:15.Shit. "Okay well I'll call you later love you." "Love you." We both hanged up.

        I grabbed some wrapping papers, and ran upstairs to my room. I called Kai's parents while I started wrapping Kai's presents. "Hi Zandra we're on our way there don't worry." I putted my phone on speaker "Okay well are you at the airport cause I can pick you up." I said while grabbing some tissue papers and shoved it in the box to cover up the gift "No its fine you seem busy." I heard Kai's mom laugh. I smiled "No its fine I can pick you guys up." I said now tying a bow on the box "Oh are you sure we don't wanna bother whatever your doing." I heard Kai's dad said through the phone,I chuckled "Yeah its fine I just have one more present to wrap for Kai, but it can wait." I said "Oh well we'll be waiting outside at the airport, we're on our way there now." This time it was Kai's mom "Oh okay I don't know how long it will take depending on the traffic, but I will text you what time I should be able to make it." I said "Okay well see you later then Zandra bye." Both of Kai's parents said, I chuckled "Bye." I hung up. I threw on a oversized black t-shirt with some tribal leggings; I decided to not do my hair so I just threw it in a bun and grabbed my car keys and vans and headed out the door.

        "Hi Zandra oh my its so nice to see you." Kai's mom said while slipping in the front seat "Hi Kai's mom." I flashed a smile at her "How are you and Kai?" Kai's dad said "Good."  I smiled at him also at the rear viewed mirror. "So what are we gonna do there?" Kai's mom said excitedly "I was planning to throw him a surprise party just you guys, Kai and me." I said glancing at Kai's mom then back at the road "Really? that's a amazing idea." Kai's dad said with a big smile then patted my shoulder "Not really, but thanks." I smiled again.

        "Hey Zandra can you help me with the groceries." Kai said while walking in holding to bag of groceries and trying to turn on the light. "Surprise." Me and Kai's parents poked our heads behind the living room couch with a big smile on our face "Oh shit." Kai jumped back with a smile "Kai watch that mouth of yours or you will get a butt spank again; although you moved I can still whoop you." Kai's mom said in a stern tone I laughed "You hear that Kai shes gonna smack your buns." I ended up laughing on the living room floor "Zandra I can smack you to, but your a girl I don't hit you." Kai settled the groceries on the nearby kitchen counter then bent down to kiss my forehead then went to set the groceries on the kitchen counter. "See Zandra is the perfect one for Kai they should get married." Kai's mom pointed at me and Kai. We both stopped doing what we were doing, and stared a Kai's mom in shock then at each other "Hun I think that's to early." Kai's dad chuckled then led her to the couch.

Kai's P.O.V.

        "Happy birthday Kai!" Zandra jumped on me from the back, and I started taking a few steps back wards before I could stable myself. Zandra kissed my cheeks then smiled "I love you." I smiled then kiss her back. "Okay its time to blow the birthday cake!" my mom walked in with little candle sticks and a lighter. My mom started lighting the candles on the cake, then we started singing the birthday song.After eating the cake we started opening the presents.

        "Hey Kai?" I looked at Zandra "Yeah?" "I forgot to tell you this, but is it okay if your parents can stay over for like one more day because they decided to stay here for a extra day." "Yeah sure its fine." I smiled then threw my arms around Zandra.

        "Does anybody wanna have a cake fight?" Zandra smirked at me then smiled at my parents "Yes please!" my mom got up then ran over to the cake; I was surprised "Mom are you serious?" I laughed "Yes of course I'm sure now lets go outside." My mom grabbed my hand then dragged me to the backyard Zandra and my dad followed along. "Attack!" Zandra came at me and threw cake at my face which I expected she missed,but she didn't. "Oh its on." I grabbed a chunk of cake then started throwing it at her,but before I could my mom threw cake at me from behind. We continued throwing cake at each other until there was no more cake left. After that we all went to shower and went to bed.

        I'm sorry for the most lamest chapter I'm not proud if this, but I didn't have the creativity to do it and yeah I hope you forgive me but the next chapter will be better hopefully.
