The water engulfed her in a cold embrace and two warm hands wrapped around her own. Realizing she was safe with him she opened her eyes. The sting to her eyes was nothing compared to her overwhelming levels of excitement. Fish swam peacefully by her and a starfish moved gracefully on small rocks, it seemed as if all the animals stopped to greet her.

Poseidon smiled at his human, she was enjoying herself just like he knew she would. He released her hand for a brief moment to take an oyster out of its hiding place.

When it became difficult for Celene to breathe, her head rose above the water to take in a clean breath of air. She planted herself on the shore and continued to breathe heavily.

Poseidon emerged from the ocean looking down at the creature. He strode over to her with an inviting smile, water dropped from his body and back into the ocean one droplet at a time. Celene was mesmerized, she had met this mysterious man only days ago, and now he was courting her.

The only question that loomed in her mind was:

What will my family think?

Poseidon interrupted her thoughts when he took a seat right next to her. Feeling his warm skin against hers was comforting. Leaning on his shoulder she smiled in content.

Poseidon placed the protected creature into her awaiting palm with great care. The creature opened gracefully and Celene was amazed to see what it held.

"How is this possible?" Her gaze cast downward wondering how a creature so small could hold something so beautiful.

"They open and close their mouths and take in sand, and that sand over time turns into a pearl."

The God and the human sat together on the beach of Cyprus watching the sun set against the horizon.

Zeus looked down at them with a frown, Poseidon had found love, true love. And Zeus was jealous, being stuck with a jealous wife was not ideal for God of such high caliber.

Something needed to be done about them, and Zeus began to formulate a plan, because if he is not happy no one has a right to be.
