ahnjong was on the bed, still chained. she wanted to get out of those rusty chains but, they wouldn't let her. it's been days since she was stuck in that castle. two people barged into her room and looked at her chained up body.

"alright, ahnjong" jay spoke, she rolled her eyes and looked at him. "what?" "it's time to get those chains off of you." he said. "finally! thanks to these rusted metals, i feel like i have lost the ability to even walk." she cheered.

"the process is gonna be long though. chaining you up takes long and so does taking the chains off" he said. "whatever! i don't care how long it takes, i just want these off." ahnjong sighed. "relax, they'll come off now." jungwon, another boy who lived in that ancient castle spoke.

they started taking off the metal. it took them a while to even unwrap her body with one.

hours later, the chains were off. ahnjong looked at her now bruised body. "those don't look too well." said jungwon. "duh. those chains were suffocating me like hell." ahnjong replied. "you don't wanna talk like that around us. we have strict rules in this castle."

"why do you sound like a different breed of human?" she asked, slightlt annoyed. "we are normal humans, what are you talking about? we were just raised differently..." the youngers voice trailed off. "yeah.. we were raised differently in our household.." jay agreed.

"and how?" she asked. "you're so curious." jay sighs. "we didn't even get to have our own electronics and say whatever we wanted to in front of our parents. they mostly controlled half of our life and here we are. aggressive with anyone who passes by this castle." lies slipped from jungwons tongue.

ahnjong lowered her head. "truly reminds me of my parents. always my siblings getting all of the good crap meanwhile theres literally me sitting in my room crying." she sighs. "enough of telling your life stories. you called for the medic?" jake, another keeper of the castle came in.

"right. alright we'll leave you to it jake." jay said and left with jungwon. jake sat on a stool next tk the bed and treated her bruises. "are you doing okay? those chains looked like they were about to kill you." jake said. "i'm fine. those chains were really uncomfortable though.. why did you do it anyway?" she questioned.

jake bit his bottom lip and treated hee bruises. "is this topic too uncomfortable for you? you don't have to answer it..." ahnjong gulped. "no its fine, i'm guessing jungwon told you about our parents, right? we found each other back in school and ever since then our parents wouldn't let us talk to anyone else."

"they mainly said that other people were dangerous for us. that they would hurt us. and then, we kind of got scared of other people. whenever someone would talk to us, we thought they wanted to harm us. that's why we chained you up.. in case you would damage us as well.. " jake sighed.

"you're playing along well, jake." jay spoke through their link. "thanks, i have nothing else to tell." jake replied. "well, sorry about that.." ahnjong sighed. "you've experienced it too, haven't you? why are you sorry? it's not your fault anyway, don't blame yourself alright?" jake reassured.

"you're the only nice one i've talked to so far... i don't know about nikis and sunoos personality yet." ahnjong said. "niki is quite polite as well. sunoo.. it's better if you stay away from him. if he sees a new person in this castle he'll blow." he joked. she giggled and looked at jake.

"but hey, thats just a joke. sunoo is also a nice boy once you get to know him well." he explained. she nodded, staring at a dried blood stain on jakes arm. "what's that?" she asked. "oh.." he widened his eyes. "i had a nosebleed during the night and forgot to wash the stain away hehe.."

"oh alright, you best go take care of it now before someone thinks you did something else." ahnjong warned. "yeah.." he said. "i-i'll be right back, stay here and don't move." jake stammered. she tilted her head but stayed in bed.

jake came back a while later with damp hair. "oh you showered?" he nodded. "speaking of which, i have to shower myself.." she stood up after days of lying down in a single bed, squat down to reach her backpack and grabbed her things.

"be back here soon." he spoke. ahnjong nodded and walked into the bathroom. a few minutes latee, she came back with a hoodie on and fuzzy pajamas. "are you okay? you look a little, startled." jake asked. "it's nothing.. i just think i'm tired and dizzy.." ahnjong sighed.

"why what happened?" he pat her shoulder. "i swear.. i think i saw sunoo's eyes turn into a wine red shade.. i think i'm just hallucinating.. and then they turned back to a dark brown.." ahnjong held her head and thought of it again.

"what? that's insane. you're surely just dizzy, that's the most absurd thing i've heard from vampire movies." jake widened his eyes. "that's what i'm thinking. it's ridiculous for me to even say it." she giggled.

"alright, rest a little while i treat the rest of your bruises." he says, calming her down. the girl laid back on her bed and stared at the ceiling. "hey jake, i have a question.." "go for it." he answers. "how did you guys manage to find this castle?" she asks.

"so, we've ran away from our homes into the forest you ran into. we didn't eat for a while but found this castle. no one lived here, but we managed to open the gates. we looked around and found the pantry with enough food for us to eat. to our surprise, it was brand new. and ever since then, we've been living here for half of our life time." he explained, without stuttering.

"interesting..so you're story is pretty much similar to mine?" he nodded his head. "i'm hungry again.." ahnjong huffs. "i'll tell the others. i'll be back soon." jake left the room. he came back with a plate of salted potato fries. "i-i can't really cook much and jay is already occupied doing his own thing.. so here's at least a little something.." he handed over his plate.

she ate the fries and eventually finished the plate. "w-was it good?" he stammered. she nodded in satisfaction. "definitely reduced my appetite. thanks jake. you made it really well." ahnjong smiled and handed over the plate. jake returned a smile and took the plate out.
