«PROLOGUE»

「AHNJONG」

i couldn't stay here any longer. i had to make my way out of this hell. i hated it here. never would i have thought that i could get out, but today was the day that i would build up my courage and run.

i packed up my things into a duffel bag and backpack, making sure everything fit in. next, i threw on the things i planned on wearing and fit into a pair of my shoes that were dirty and almost broken due to my family.

no one in my family liked me. not my cousins, not my siblings, not my parents, no one. i grew up having to do everything by myself. from putting my clothes on to cooking, i also had to learn how to say my first words all by myself.

it wasn't easy. having no one by your side wasn't easy. i was always picked on and friendless in school. i had the biggest urge to drop out of school, but i didn't. i had to keep on going.

after i've finished packing, i ran downstairs and called for my family members. they went downstairs and saw me holding my duffel bag and backpack. "where do you think you are going?! you're staying here to clean!" my "mother" shouted.

"i can't stay here anymore. each and everyone of you treat my like absolute trash and i hate it here! there was never a time where you would support me. never. i'm leaving whether you want me to or not." i said, before opening the front door
and leaving.

the cold breeze hit my figure, it wasn't pleasant. but i had nothing else to do.

i ran away as fast as i could, running subconsciously into a forest. i ran deeper and deeper, until i couldn't find the neighborhood anymore.

i was lost. i knew it. but it was better than staying in that hell hole i used to call a home.

deeper into the woods, i found a building. better said, a castle.

finally somewhere i can stay in.

i thought. my legs walked up to the gates and i knocked on it a few times. soon,

the gates fell open.
