i woke up in a familiar room.

nikis room?

must have fallen asleep.

i thought back to the fight i had with jay and almost felt my eyes well up. until someone opened the door.

the door revealed sunoo with a worried look. "hey i heard, are you doing okay?" he frowned and ran over to sit on the bed with me.

i nodded. "is there anything i can do? to make you happy at least?" sunoos frown dropped as he thought of something.

"let's go plant the flowers in our yard while talking about some fun things to do! come on~ the flowers are waiting." he held out his hand.

i hesitated slightly but took it in the end, making him drag me out of the room in a rush.

"my pants are loose!" i warned, making sunoo stop in his tracks. when he did, i quickly fixed the waist of my pants and walked to the garden with him.

the fresh smell of nature filled my nose as we finally exited that old and musty castle.

"i know my idea sounds silly, but trust me. the more you do it, the more fun it is!" the boy reassured with his signature eye smile.

it's like he's a normal human.

but, he isn't.

"you're so spazzed out ahnjong. loosen up a little and help me with these seeds." he held up a packet of small rose bush seeds.

i snapped back into reality and nodded, walking up to him and helped.

"wah, i already like the smell just by the seeds." i giggled at sunoo who had made his remark.

"true, the smell is nice." i admitted and grabbed the shovel, digging a hole in the ground for the seeds.

"you're awake!" we heard someone shout behind us.

we turned around and saw a bloody niki. honestly it scared me, but i should get used to it since they're not human.

"niki, did you have a feast without us?" sunoo frowned. "also ahnjong don't worry, i don't mean you."

i smiled reassuringly. "i know, i should get used to it."

"i really enjoyed it, there's more than enough." he wiped his mouth with his arm, but smeared the blood even more.

"go take a shower, you look like a psycho." sunoo gagged. "maybe i am~" niki teased and left us alone.

"aish, that child.." the boy next to me grumbled. a laugh escaped my lips as i looked at him.

"i have a question..." i spoke softly while looking at the cheerful boy who was just playing with the dirt.

"what is that question?" he perked his head up to look back at me.

"were any of you, perhaps, humans who have been bitten by vampires?" i asked.

that caught sunoo by surprise. he pursed his lips and hissed as he was thinking. "yes, all of us." he replied.

"is it okay if i ask, how?" i gulped.

"well it was jungwons 16th birthday, but of course there had to be an issue." he said.

"vampires raided our village, just after jungwon blew out his candle." sunoo planted the seeds in and put a bit of water on the dirt covering the seeds.

"we were told to hide," he paused "we did, but when they found us, we were turned into these disgusting blood thristy creatures."

"honestly though, life is better as a vampire~" sunoo lifted the mood and giggled.

"you get to live longer without even looking different from when you were bitten, right?"

"bingo!"

"what the hell, you all looked good back then not gonna lie." i teased. it was true though!

"wah~ thank you!" sunoo smiled.

"just stating facts, is there more to plant?" i looked around the area and saw how empty the area actually seemed to be.

"yeah, but we're not gonna exaggerate everything a plant dozens of them."

"wasn't planning on doing so, i like keeping it simple." i assured and walked around the garden.

"let's take a break for now." sunoo wiped his forehead and took off his gloves.

"so soon?" he nodded. "i'm already exhausted since i chased sunghoon around. he was bothering me for the nth time this year." he pouted.

"aish~ i'm younger than all of you yet you still act so childish."

"maybe months older than niki."

"how come?"

"he's born december 9th 1705. even older than mozart himself."

i giggled. "funny, but i guess since you're vampires it's believable."

"yeah, but the fact that we're actual vampires strolling through earth isn't believable."

just then, someone came through the gates that lead to the garden.

i tightly close my eyes once i saw the person who had been apporaching us.

"please leave.." i mumble to myself and turn away.

"ahnjong please, i'm sorry for every harsh thing i said to you.." jay spoke in a worried tone.

"sure you are." i tsked, opening my eyes just to roll them.

"i know what i said was stupid and that was mainly because i was frustrated and used my ass to think but again, i didn't mean what i said." he tried apologizing again.

"the fight between heeseung and i got me all riled up so i was kinda out of my mind for a few minutes but right after you left i thought back to what i said and wanted to apologize for acting like a dick."

i looked at him and snorted. "i don't know what kind of dictionary you're using but it seems like it only consists of swear words, my guy." i laughed, making sunoo giggle.

"anyways, since you're practically begging for my forgiveness, i'll give it to you. i'm sorry for being such a pain in the ass earlier because i knew you were already upset enough." i smiled.

"but you still don't have my full forgiveness, park jongseong. you still need to treat me ice cream."

"why- that was so random but i'll get your ice cream anyways. thanks though." jay bid goodbye and ran back into the castle.

"what a hassle.." sunoo complained.
