the words had taken me aback from last night.

words, that i had never expected to hear. especially when it's meant for me.

his voice was lingering around in my head all day. he just left me without another word after his confession.

i missed him. his warmth, his comfort, everything about him was what i've been missing for these past few hours.

i would've said his exact words back.

I sat in the living room, contemplating whether i should've actually confessed or not.

what if she doesn't see me the same way?

i ruffled my hair in frustration and tugged at it lightly, until heeseung hyung came in.

he pulled my arms from my head and kept a firm grip on them.

"something's off, tell me." he said.

damn, i forgot he could read expressions.

a heavy sigh escaped my mouth, "i confessed. i did it, yesterday. i told her my true feelings. i don't know what to do."

"did she reject you?"

"i left before she said anything.."

heeseung hit his forehead and shook me by my shoulders, catching me by surprise.

"let her return those feelings for you! it's completely obvious that she likes you too. now don't be such a wuss and go back."

"give me a moment.." i said, trying to calm myself down. "what if she d-"

"dear god, nishimura riki-" heeseung slapped both of his hands on his face and dragged them down. "she's left so many hints! why don't you get it?!"

i gulped. did she?

i heard someones footsteps. looking, i saw someones bloodshot red eyes.

quickly, i ran over to ahnjong, cupping her cheeks. "your eyes.. have you been crying?"

she nodded.

with a sigh, i hugged her tightly. "i'm sorry.."

"for what?" i asked her.

"i should've known better, niki.." she sniffled.

"stop crying, ahnjong," i pulled away and held both of my hands on the side of her face, wiping her tears away with my thumb, "i.. you do remember what i said the other day... right?"

she nodded.

"you've never experienced actual love before, so i want you to finally have that." i affirmed, "i want you to open up your heart to me and let me in... will you do that?"

"do you mean it..?" she questioned, swallowing harshly.

"yes.. and if you don't return those feelings, then i understand." i smiled. "i wouldn't be together with a maniac either-"

she cupped my face and smashed her lips against mine.

her lips were soft.

ahnjong pulled away with a smile, looking at me. "i return those feelings, now don't call yourself a maniac nishimura riki!" she scolded.

i laughed, "yes ma'am."
