ahnjong, niki and jay got dressed quickly and headed out of the castle. they got out of the dark forest until a small neighborhood was seen. "ahnjong, put your hood up." jay instructed. she nodded and quickly pulled her hood up to cover her head.

a male paced around the neighborhood, knocking on doors and messed up his hair in frustration. "you!" he called. ahnjong kept her head down and widened her eyes. "have you seen a girl named gwan ahnjong?" he asked jay. he shook his head.

"never seen or heard of her, sorry." he apologized and bowed. the male left and muttered, "stupid bitch. the wholeass reason why they died." walking beside her. she widened her eyes and hung her head low, tears threatening to fall.

"come on, let's get you things and make you feel better!" niki smiled and held her arm. the girl smiled and nodded. they arrived at a bus stop and waited for 10 minutes, till then the bus had arrived. she sat next to niki and opposite of jay.

"i know what my brother was trying to do," she sighed. "what was he trying to do?" jay questioned. "he was trying to find me, frame me for our parents death so that i'd be sentenced into jail for murder. but, he doesn't have proof to show," ahnjong paused,

"that's how much they hate me. while he walked passed me too, he said that i was the reason for their death." she sighed. "at this point it won't even be a theory. it's something that i'm supposed to know. they've tried once, they shouldn't try to do it again."

niki and jay widened their eyes. "really? why did they frame you once?" "because i supposedly killed my aunt." she cocked an eyebrow. "o-oh, we're here!" niki stammered and looked at the stop. "stupid, we have to get off at the next stop." she chuckled and stared at the boy.

"niki why are you so afraid? it's not like she actually killed her aunt. they just tried to put the blame on her." "oh.. yeah.. sorry i didn't understand the sentence too well." niki apologized. ahnjong made a gesture to assure the boy that its fine.

the next stop arrived shortly and they got off. ahnjong had finally seen the big building in front of her. her eyes sparkled as she walked closer and saw unfamiliar people. the only ones she had ever seen, were her schoolmates, maybe her neighbors and last but not least, her family.

but then she actually met better people, the ones she could at least trust.

"why are you so deep into thought? let's get inside, it's cold out here." jay suggested and dragged her by the arm. niki ran after them. jay lead them to a clothing store and smiled. "let's buy your things, shall we?" he pushed her and let the girl roam around.

she came back and payed for her things. they enjoyed the rest of the day chatting and eating. to sum up to their shopping spree, jay bought a latte for sunghoon, since he promised to buy him one.

they went back to the castle and went into their rooms seperately. jay quickly delivered sunghoons latte. ahnjong went into her room, looking at the new clothes she has gotten. a smile curled on her lips as she stared.

niki came into her room shortly after and saw her putting away the clothes into her wardrobe and drawers. "do you need help?" he asked, startling the girl. "oh geez," she put a hand on her chest and breathed out, "you scared me." ahnjong huffed.

"sorry. do you need help though?" he questioned. "no, but thanks." she grinned and organized her clothes. "by the way," niki spoke. she hummed in response and folded her clothes neatly. "do you still believe in vampires?" he chuckled nervously and scratched his nape.

"well, maybe a little. do you have any books i could read here? it's boring without anything to do here in this castle, y'know?" niki nodded. "i have a few and so does jake. you can always come into our rooms when you want to read something." he looked around the room.

"do you want me to go get one for you?" he asked. "that would be nice, thanks." she nodded and decided on cleaning her room. minutes later, niki came back with a few books in hand. "i've finished reading all of these already. it's a really fun series." he placed the books on her bedside table and sat on the bed.

"they look interesting, thanks!" she smiled. "you say thanks so often. there's no need to thank us." the boy smiled. "sorry, i'm just really thankful for you guys. you let me stay here after my tough times and i appreciate it."

"you're welcome. i mean, we couldn't just let an abused girl roam around korea in attempt to find the right place, no?" niki chuckled. jay came in soon and saw the both of them communicating with each other. he closed the door and jumped onto the bed.

"whatcha talkin about?" jay barged in. "nothing special. this girl just says 'thanks' nonstop." he laughed and looked at ahnjong who was cleaning. jay spotted something unusual in the room. "did you give her your novels?" "yeah, she said it was boring in this castle since there isn't much activity, so i had to improvise." niki smiled.

"i'll be reading those once i'm done cleaning." the girl put the last piece of clothing into her wardrobe and sat on the floor, leaning against the wardrobe. "could you pass me the first part?" she held her hand out. niki gave her the book and she flipped onto the first page.

"we'll let you read, come to us if you need something alright ahnjong?" jay said and dragged niki out of the room.

she flipped through the pages continuously, until thirst had taken over her body. she set the book down, marking her page by folding the corner and went downstairs to get a glass of water.

she reached the kitchen, widening her eyes as she saw something brutal she didn't want to see..
