Chapter 36

My head turned to face him and my mouth was open in shock. When I heard everyone around us cheering, I quickly closed my mouth and gave them a small smile. When I looked at Su family I could see the dissatisfaction on their faces. After chatting with some people I didn't even know I held Jin's arm and took him to a less crowded place.

"What was that?" I asked him .

"Director of Park Group." He said like as if he didn't have any idea about what I was asking for.

"Ugh..Why did you tell everyone that I'm your fiancé?" I asked again, this time more strictly.

"So you want me to tell them that you are my student?" He said making me more annoyed.

"No...I mean...you could have said friend." I stated.

"That wouldn't have sounded believable."

"Why?" I asked as I crossed my arms.

But before he could say something someone interrupted us.

"Hailey!" I heard Mr. Su calling my name and quickly turned myself to face him.

"What's going on? And who is this guy claiming you as his fiancé?" He asked as his wife and daughter stood beside him.

"I don't need to give you any sort of explanation." I stated with a straight face.

"You have to. We're your family."

"Family?" I scoffed.

"What family? You have never considered me as a family member. Never treated me fairly. Just because my mom was not your wife." I said as tears started forming in my eyes but I quickly wiped them.

"Why are bringing all this now-" He said.

"Because to this day y'all hate me because I'm an illegitimate child." I said. 
     
"Yes, you are and we can't just pretend that you are not." Mrs. Su said.

"But my mom didn't even know that Mr. Su is married. Y'all blame my mom when it's Mr. Su who cheated." I said that and all of them became shocked.

After saying that I left the place and Jin followed me. There was a small garden behind the hotel we were a few minutes ago. With big steps I ran to a bench in that garden and sat there. I couldn't control myself anymore and started crying. Whenever I recall my childhood memories I feel so terrible. My mom was betrayed but these people blame her and me. As tears formed in my eyes, everything became blurry so I didn't even notice that Jin was watching me. When I felt a hand on my shoulder I realized that Jin was there by my side, watching me cry all this time. When I turned my face to look at him he quickly hugged me. I was surprised but I definitely needed a hug. For the first time I didn't feel embarrassed for crying in front of someone. His hug as comforting.

"You have been hiding so much pain in your heart." He said while patting my head.

I pulled back from the hug and said :
"I'm sorry, because of me you couldn't enj-"

Before I could finish my sentence I was stopped by sudden kiss. Jin gently grabbed my head and deepened the kiss. And with that I forgot everything.

We reached Jin's home and when I was about to go to my room to pack my things he stopped me by the arm.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"To my room.....to pack my stuffs." I said nervously and Jin started laughing.

His laugh could melt a rock, it was so cute.

"Because we're teacher and student so you can't stay with me right ?" He asked with a smile.

I kept quiet.

"You're my fiancé now." He said with a serious look as he came closer to me.

"You can't be serious...." I said, not being able to believe his words.

"Why? Don't you like me, Hailey?"

His eyes were piercing through my soul. I knew that he knew I liked him so I couldn't possibly lie.

"Yes, I do." I said, receiving a hug in return.

"If you're my fiancé then it means that no one can say anything about our relationship, idiot." He said while laughing and received a punch on his chest from me in return.

"Ow!"

And we both started laughing.
