Chapter 22

The night of their meeting came. John and Wendy brought Hailey to a fancy restaurant. They were chatting, having delicious food and enjoying each other's company. While the two best friends were laughing about their jokes, John was admiring her sister's best friend. Their chatting was interrupted by the waitress who brought them the bill. Hailey opened up her purse to take out some money but Wendy stopped her.

"Let my bro do it." Wendy said.

"But last time I had to leave him alone at the restaurant and we have already decided that I'll pay this time." Hailey stated.

"Hailey, let me tell you, if you insist on paying the bill then I'll take that as you look down on my brother." Wendy said to while holding her hand.

"My brother is the prince of our family, he also carries half of the family business. If people get to know that the girl paid for the meal, the he'll be laughed at." She continued.

"But....." Hailey was saying something but Wendy interrupted.

"No "But", bro! Hurry up and pay." Wendy said.

After paying the bill they left the restaurant and started walking outside. Wendy started insisting to Hailey that she wanted to go to a club with her but Hailey refused and said that they have classes on the next day.

"We won't drink a lot....pleaseee Hailey." Wendy started whining.

She the turned towards her brother and said : "Bro...accompany us please."

"First convince Hailey." He replied with a smile.

"Oppa, don't you have work tomorrow?" Hailey asked.

"It I'll be fine as long as you guys are happy." He said while patting on Wendy's head.

A big smile appeared on Wendy's face after hearing that and then she quickly took them to a posh night club.

"Hailey, let me tell you, it is not easy to invite my brother to come with us." Wendy said.

"You're exaggerating." Hailey replied.

"It's true. I have been begging him accompany me for 10 years but I never succeeded."

"You're really good at exaggerating, John oppa ain't that cold." Hailey said while pinching Wendy's cheeks which made John chuckle a little.

They ordered their expensive drinks and started chatting. After a while, Wendy became drunk and pulled Hailey closer to her as she whispered something in her ear.

"Hailey..Hailey, do you know that? My brother...... likes you." Drunk Wendy whispered.

"Don't talk nonsense!" Hailey replied while blushing and Wendy started laughing.

Hailey's POV //

He likes me? Why am I blushing after hearing that? I mean...he is indeed charming and caring. I was peeking at his handsome face when suddenly my phone started ringing making me startled. I looked at my phone screen and the caller his Professor Jin! Why is he calling me at this time aaaahhhhhhhh! I excused myself and hurriedly ran outside to receive his call.

"Hello professor?" I said .

"What's that noise?" He probably heard the music playing in the club.

"No nothing." I said.

"You ......are at the club?" Oh no.

"No no teacher, you misunderstood, I'm actually studying at a hotel. Since I felt sleepy, I decided to play some music to keep myself energized." I said.

"Oh? Are you reading a book?" He asked after laughing softly.

"Yes yes." I quickly answered.

"What book are you reading?" He asked.

"Finance!" My dumbass immediately answered.

"Oh really? Then what topic are you on right now?" He asked.

Oh no...he is really smart.

"Hailey Su! I have a class with you tomorrow and you are clubbing at this hour!?" He said loudly.

I also wanted to say that why did he call me at this hour but he didn't even let me speak.

"Don't be late tomorrow, I'll deduct 10 marks from your final for being even one second late!"

What!?!?!

"Professor, please don't..."

"Memorize page fifty, for every missing word, one mark ..." he was saying but I couldn't control myself anymore.

"KIM SEOKJIN!" I shouted on the phone.

"Don't go too far!" He said before hanging up.

I'm the one who is going too far?! Let him fail me if he wants to! I'll retake the exam. I furiously entered the club and sat down on my seat while folding my arms.

"Hailey, what's wrong?" Wendy asked.

"Nothing....lets drink." I smiled at her.
